Pretty good trainer
I just got this today. It's battery charged in about 10 minutes and I was up and flying. The controls are easy but almost too easy, makes for a wobbly flight if you have led fingers like me. It was fairly easy to land though mostly rough ones. I would definitely recommend first time flyers fly only over grassy areas. The only cons I have are; one there is a gear piece that locks in the propeller behind the motor on the prop shaft, it fell off in 3 flights and it was gone, far to little to find in grass. Two I had to cut a portion of the front area around the motor to fix the issue. I used super glue and spun it into a bulb to hold the prop and shaft in place. Seems to work well now. But that piece could be better secured or have locking washer instead...? So again it's a great buy but remember these things only take so much and if your new like me, expect something to break, but this isn't rocket science so you can probably fix it easily enough.Follow Up: I've had this trainer for a couple weeks now and it's still flying well. I have had to fix the prop issue one more time as mentioned above, however the aircraft fly's steady and is actually working out well teaching me how to handle flying R/C. What's impressed me the most about this aircraft is it's durability. The way it takes a crash is quite impressive. I am able to successfully fly it without incident for about 5 minutes now and almost have a good landing down. However it just doesn't do well in wind of any sort, maybe less than 3kts is ok. Otherwise I stand by the purchase and I am happy about it and I think if you are interested in buying a trainer this one is a really great choice.

Poor quality and manufacturing.
This is the poorest quality airplane I have ever purchased. It cost $80.00 and it literally crumbles with each attempt to fly regardless of your skill level or where you attempt to fly it. My 12 year old grandson paced the floors awaiting it's arrival. The day we picked it up from the post office came home and charged it, it chipped a chunk out of the wing on the first attempt. It has been used for a total of 30 minutes and looks like it's been in combat. I also purchased a second battery for $20.00. I assembled the plane to make sure it was put together correctly. The battery fell out due to the magnet not being strong enough to hold it in place so if i hadn't ordered a second battery it would have been unable to use it within the first 10 minutes of use. I am attempting to contact amazon now for a refund. I will update you asap.

Poor quality & service
Fun to fly on the first day. Then, after only one time flying the battery would not charge anymore. HobbyTown representative said they knew nothing about these planes and referred me to firelands tech. They sent me a replacement transmitter (from which the battery is charged) but that did not help. When I called again they were not willing to help over phone anymore and referred me back to HobbyTown. So far 20 minutes of fun and several hours of headaches.

Good buy for the price
Good buy for the price. Don't like the way the motor is mounted, it loosens easily. Great power to weight ratio which makes it a bit quick for the beginner.

Love It
Outstanding. My first rc plane, and it has survived numerous crashes onto the ground, trees, and even in a lake. I am now good enough to do loops. I never used a simulator. My daughter is learning to fly it and it's still going strong. I can't say enough positive things about this plane. Repairs nicely with duct tape.

Abused and Loved
I love this little plane! It has a lot of power and I am amazed at the flight times I get from the tiny little battery. It is small and delicate feeling but has proven surprisingly sturdy. I have had to repair it several times after crashes (mostly due to flying in much too windy conditions)I thought surely destroyed it but so far nothing a little packing tape or foam safe ca glue couldn't fix.Handles light wind like a much larger plane due to its wing design and power.Only suggestion would be to wrap a rubber band around the battery or don't crash it at high speeds into tall trees as I have ejected and lost a couple batteries from the magnetic holder this way.

It was a fun plane to fly when it was not in the hanger waiting for parts
This is a durable plane and fly’s very well. The down side is in the electronics are not very stable. Out of the box the one of the servos fell out of its cradle on one of the first few flights. Ares replaced the plane just to have the new plane’s antenna work loose from the printed circuit board again in flight. Ares replaced the control board, after a month waiting for the part to arrive just to have the control board smoke and burn out just moments after the binding process. This was my first Ares planes and I will be cautious before buying another.
