Five stars for the rollator itself, one star for what I received... I purchased this particular rolling walker to give me more ability to move around outside in the presence of severe orthostatic hypotension. I need to be able to sit down immediately when hit by the "woozies"... The unit is ideal for me. It is robust, lightweight (14 lb), and folds easily (simply by lifting by the handle embedded in the seat) and fits nicely in the trunk of my car. There is an automatic latch to hold the frame open while in use. Although there are many plastic parts they seem to be strong and well designed. I like the "European" style rollators over the standard form. Now for the negatives: 1) My summary is that this the best rollator with the worst assembly instructions! I am a retired mechanical engineer and consider myself to be very adept at putting things together, but I struggled with this one! All you get is a single sheet with small photos on it. As an example, these photos do not unambiguously indicate how the rear wheels should be slid in to the main frame - you can do it with the wheels on the inside or the outside of the frame - they fit equally well either way. I, of course did it the wrong way, it all looked good - it rolled around beautifully on a flat floor, but as soon as I took it outdoors on a brick pathway it was obvious something was wrong and the tabs holding the rear reflectors were rubbing on the ground! It took about 20 minutes of watching videos and looking at promotional photos to realize that the rear wheels MUST be installed on the outside of the frame. This is not shown anywhere or mentioned in the assembly photos. 2) This one is inexcusable: The unit was shipped double-boxed. As soon as I saw the inner box it was immediately obvious that it had been opened previously and crudely retaped. When I opened it, I found torn up bubble wrap, some parts still wrapped others not. The front wheels had been inserted into the rear of the frame! It was a mess. My conclusion was that I had been shipped a returned unit that was resold as a new one. I don't know where the blame lies, Amazon or Carex. Normally I would have returned it to Amazon as soon as I saw this, but I had an important medical appointment the next morning that involved a long walk an needed the walker to get there... And so I put it together.

I love this walker! It folds easily, is very lightweight and more compact compared to my previous walker (which was a Drive Medical heavy duty bariatric 4-wheeled walker with a padded seat and rubber wheels). I wanted something of the same high quality as my other walker that could support heavy weight while being lighter weight to handle, more compact and easily foldable. Seat support is great - sturdy (not 'padded' but still comfortable to sit) and like others who have reviewed this product, I like the backrest it has when sitting. So far I have used this walker in airports and found it easy to fold when needed (restaurants, seating areas, checking it at the airline gate). I have went many places with it where I needed to fold it up temporarily (restaurants, shows, events, etc.) and it folds and stands up while folded great - takes up less space than other standard 4-wheeled walkers for bigger people so I can have it standing folded next to the table in restaurants without it being in anyone's way. It folds flatter like a 3-wheeled walker but offers more stability support than a 3-wheeled walker. It has a weight support capacity of up to 300 lbs. - sturdy yet lightweight. My boyfriend put it together when it came (while I was not home so I didn't see the whole process) and said it took some time (had to make sure cables were in the right place before putting things fully together and the wheels were on backwards when arrived) but he got it together after about an hour with some 'trial and error' (he said to read and follow the directions carefully and pay attention to how the wheels and cables are suppose to go, you will be fine) it is maintenance-free! So happy with this purchase. Highly recommend.

This is a great walker in terms of how high you can adjust the handles so that you are standing up straight. In addition, it goes up on the grass and you can walk easily with it over roots, grass ruts, etc. It is definitely lightweight, which helps immensely getting it in and out of the car for sure! And, lastly, it closes and clicks together, so you are not fighting to get it in the car with it opening up. On the downside, because we all know things are not perfect, it has a pouch to put your things into that fits on the front bottom, which is difficult for me to reach with back surgery, and you have to put the brakes on, walk around to the front of the walker and bend over to open it. There are no dividers in the pouch; it is more for bringing your iPad around in. There is no way to add one on the models that you have it under the seat, which I really miss as you could flip the sit up and there were your things in a nice pouch, even my purse fit in there. The second thing that I do not like at all, which I have posted a few pictures of, is there is a metal thing that sticks out, and when I put my arms on top of the handles when I sit, that metal is sharp and uncomfortable to get near and will hurt you under your arm if you're not careful. I do not know what they are, but they are on both sides of the walker. As you can see, it is right above the back strap. No clue what those are for. Anyone that knows, please let me know.

Bought this to replace my 10 year old Drive Rollator. I liked my old rollator but I’m very happy with this replacement. As with any device there are pros and cons when compared to my old Drive Rollator. PROS: Setup very easy, no tools required. Complaints about the wheels being attached where they do not belong is misleading. The wheels were simply placed into the frame to facilitate and protect during shipping. It takes about 30 seconds to push the release button, remove the wheels and attach them in the proper location as described in the instructions. I have back problems and I was able to unpack and setup the rollator in less than 20 minutes. I suggest you add cable ties to hold the brake cables in place so they don’t catch or snag on anything when you’re using the rollator. This rollator is as sturdy or sturdier than my old rollator but it’s also lighter and easier to lift into an auto to transport. I’m 5’8” and the height is adjustable to exactly what I need but if you are taller or shorter it can be adjusted quite a bit higher or lower. Very easy to transport in a vehicle because it can be collapsed and set up quickly and easily. Simply pull up on the handle in the seat and it folds up to transport. Partially collapse and it’s narrow enough to easily fit through smaller doorways. Passing through small doorways was virtually impossible with my old rollator because of the way it folded. Large rubber wheels allows the rollator to glide quietly over almost any surface. My old rollator had hard plastic type wheels which were quite noisy on hard surfaces. Brakes are much easier to use than my old rollator and worked great right out of the box without any adjustment. Both PRO & CON (minor differences): A bit longer (front to back) than the old drive which makes it a bit less maneuverable when walking but more stable when walking or sitting. The web seat and backrest are comfortable but I would prefer if the seat were an inch or two higher from the floor. I use a pad to increase the height which works fine for me. My old rollator had a bag under the seat which I used with an organizer to store frequently used items (Water Tumbler, Keys, Wallet, Phone, Fire 10 Tablet, etc.) The folding design of this rollator doesn’t allow for an under seat bag / organizer. The bag provided is OK when traveling and for papers but not that useful for organizing and storing other frequently used items when at home. I ordered a single 1/8 inch ABS plastic sheet from Amazon for about $15 and created my own storage unit which I attach and use in place of the bag that’s provided. By releasing just two rubber bands, I can switch between the bag and my organizer. CONS: I’ve used this rollator for a couple of months and I can honestly say I haven’t experienced any problems. I’m quite happy with this rollator and highly recommend it.
