Good budget speakers cheap and sound ok

Decent sound, could be more bass, better than my standard ones that was on the way out

I bought these for a 2013 Peugeot 107 not realising the dash speaker grills cover only a tweeter, not a speaker. This did make installation much harder that it will if you are buying these for a pre-face lifted C1 or 107 (some time in 2012). The older car had dash mounted speakers only. The face lifted version has tweeters here and then door speakers. I'll do the review for the speakers themselves in a bit, but I think these speakers are a popular choice for people with a 107/C1/Aygo and I will do a bit around that first. The front tweeters are attached via a 4 pin plug, with two wires being the + and - from the head unit and the other two being the + and - which go from here to the door speakers. It should be noted that if you have door speakers and you add these, you are changing the resistance from 4 ohms to 2 ohms and might have problems. You will also have fun working out which wiring is from the head unit and which goes onto the speakers. In the end, I decided to just fit these and bypass the door speakers. At some point I will change the head unit and install some speakers in the parcel shelf instead. If it is of interest, on the right dash speaker blue was + and green was - and on the left purple was + and pink was -. By subtraction white and red are the two wires going to the right door speakers and black and beige on the left side go to the left door speaker. The drills holes don't completely match and you will need to remove two of the four ears which screw down the speakers for the 107/C1/Aygo. The speakers are quite nicely made and come with the cables you need and clips and screws if you are mounting this in a location in the car where there weren't speakers. Sound quality is really decent for a 4" speaker. Even without the door speakers, I have a much nicer sound in the car. When I do order speakers for the parcel shelf I will seriously consider Pyle again. A pair of 6.5" pair would fit (even the tiny parcel shelf in the 107) and should sound good. Obviously I will need to feed in wiring under the carpet to get back there. For less than £14 these speakers are a no brainer. Just be aware if they are going into a car to replace something else that mounting points, speaker depth and a host of other things need to be considered. If these don't slot in perfectly it isn't the speakers' fault.

Pyle Car Stereo Speakers 300W 3-Way – 16.51 cm I needed a cheap set of speakers to replace the blown door speakers in a Fabia, standard stereo so nothing special was needed as they woo be direct to the stereo and not an amp. I did unplug the seperate tweeter from the standard stereo as these are tri-ax and have a mid and tweeter built in (in short, leaving the standard tweeter in place would affect did quality due to power (ohms) and soundstage). As a standard replacement, they are perfect for my needs, durable and easier to set up than the standard seperates. They are low enough real world power that the standard stereo can run them well enough. For what they are, they give good bass, mid and highs (relatively speaking). So, if you just want to replace knackered old speakers and keep the original head unit and you aren't going to upgrade anything else, these are perfect. If the rear ones blow and they are the same size I'd probably get another set. Same if I needed something cheap and cheerful for another car.

Very good quality product for the price, easy to fit and set up, sound quality is good and works perfectly, although I do need to update my system and they look great. Absolute bargain for the price of them. Will definitely buy again if needed!

The efficiency of these speakers is incredibly poor,I fitted some of these to add extra bass to the 10cm speakers up front and the output and bass in particularly are far below those (cheap) speakers. I believe for a given volume setting on my stereo these produce half the volume. Bass is actually worse than the smaller units. The treble/mid range quality is fairly good but they are just so quiet. I did get a bargain on these so I'm not unhappy with them at the money paid but at full retail price these are simply terrible.

Fantastic value. I used these to build a Bluetooth speaker. They produce clear and very pleasant sound. I managed to get a decent bit of bass through my cabinet construction. I will use these again.

They took a while to reach my address, but totally worth the wait. They were super easy to install and they sound great.

Purchased for an E38 with blown original 4ohm woofer door speakers. I rarely play it full blast, so for those of us who don't need to wake up the neighborhood, they are perfect. If your review is based on packaging, please just don't. We've all had bad packaging and delivery nightmares, not the products fault or do we need you to rant about it here. It doesn't help readers make a decision. In any case, packaging was good from Amazon, double boxed. Sound, better than I expected. It replaced some old woofers and while the car has separate tweeters, these seemed to enhance the sound. As for volume, they are more than adequate, with little to unnoticeable distortion at higher volume, compared to the originals, no difference. for those E38 or BMW owners, sorry I didn't take pictures, however they were a perfect fit for the 5.25 sized original mount.
