The Montrose Futon is based on the Japanese original, with several major differences. It is placed on a configurable frame for dual use as a bed and a chair or couch. Typically, the frame folds in the middle, allowing the futon to be used as a couch, and flattens for use as a bed. The Mattress is filled with high density foam and 20 pound garnetted cotton, hand tufted, a 294 Vertical Innerspring and meets all CSPC Flammability Standards Made in the USA, and is much thicker and larger than Japanese futons, resembling a traditional mattress in size. Montrose futons are an alternative to a bed or other furniture, and are often sold in sets that include the mattress and frame. The Mattress Fabric uses a variety of colors to match evolving modern decorating tastes. Manufactured in Minnesota (Mattress anyways) Product is of better than average quality, Good return on investment. Assembly is always more than expected so put on a pot of coffee.
