MomeniNewport Collection Area Rug, 2'0" x 3'0", Navy

I waited a couple of months before writing a review. On the one hand I love this carpet! Everyone who has seen it loves it. It’s beautiful and fun in a room that I wanted to brighten with some color. It’s thick, and makes hard floors more comfortable for sitting on. That being said, it’s a looped rug, not cut pile, so while I have other wool rugs looped in the same way as this at my entranceway, which after several years of traffic only have one or two snags, this one had half a dozen pulls within an hour after putting it down. So if like me you are planning on actually having people and pets walk across it in your living room, you may want to look elsewhere. The good news is with some time on the floor, a little fabric glue, and some toothpicks, it’s easy to fix. The bad news is, more snags will pop up daily. Strangely, it accidentally got puked on, and it cleaned right up with dish soap suds with no staining. People who complain about lint, do not understand the nature of wool carpets. That’s what wool carpet yarn does. This one isn’t bad at all. It actually sheds very little lint, and any lint vacuums up easily when you vacuum for dirt. At under $200 for a 9x12 wool rug, I’m happy, but if I’d paid it’s usual price, I’d be disgruntled with all the snags and pulled out threads.

11/2020 update: I’ve had this rug in my daughter’s room for almost 3 years and it’s still amazing. It’s a high traffic room and frankly she spit up on it a lot, also in the pic it’s been a couple weeks since the last vacuuming but it still looks great and hides dust and dirt well I think! 😂 This is an incredible deal on a great wool rug that lasts.I love this rug, and while yes it does shed some, that is pretty standard for wool rugs. I find the weave is pretty tight so it doesn't shed much and it's very soft and thick. The colors are beautiful and I'm very happy with it.

This rug is much more beautiful in person. The vibrant colors really pop while not looking too whimsical.........perfect for my adolescent daughter. She wanted a rug but I was having a hard time finding one which would work for the duration of her age group. I think I found it with this rug! We all loved it, and my husband loved the price. It really complements her light mauve comforter set but it can easily go with many colors!I am a long time fan of Momeni rugs and this rug proves they can complete any room.

These two identical rugs were a great value for the reduced price advertised. I have purchased this brand before, so I expected the high quality, soft touch and vibrant colors. The rugs did not disappoint.

The rug is beautiful...the colors are very bright..it looks very much like the pictures available..it is very flat so if you’re looking for a thick fluffy rug this is not it..but it is easy to clean... does not show dirt too easily and definitely stands out in a room...

Got these for the covered part of our deck. Wanted to add some color and was pleasantly surprised by these rugs. Fairly thick, well made and feel good on my feet. Don't know how they'll wash yet, but so far I love them!

This rug was a pretty as I imagined. I love the texture and thickness. The cat loves it, too.

Wanted something different for bathroom rugs.Nice. Pretty. Just as pictured.Initial odor. Gone in one day.Never disappointed in this brand.
