Works well so far, a little tight
I ordered the half-arm version to cover a cast. The "glove" part is huge, and the thumb part is so far back from the tip of the fingers that if I were to put my thumb in it, there would be several inches of flapping plastic beyond my fingertips. The watertight aspect comes from there being a hole cut out of the center of the covering on the opposite end, and the hole is very small and pretty tight. I have to have my husband help me get it on; he holds the opening as far open as he can, and I can barely get my cast through. Then when my arm is in, the hole in the plastic feels pretty tight, not quite like a tourniquet, but in that direction. And my upper arms are pretty thin (I'm 5'7" and wear a size 6 usually). But it keeps the cast dry. I've only used it twice, so I can't comment on durability, but the plastic feels pretty substantial (kind of like a really thick parafilm, if you know what that is).

Great invention!
Kept water out from my lower arm cast. Have only used it once, but seems very sturdy. Didn’t have to apply it myself, but appears that it would be doable with a little patience. States 20 in long, but I got 19 measuring through opening. If include stretch part of top, could be longer when applied. 14 inches through hole to base of thumb, but wide enough to just shove all arm in without use of thumb. Per other comments, can see where it would feel very tight over large biceps, but save water and take a short shower. No more leaky plastic bags!!!4 days later: Was able to put it on myself. Still love this item.

Perfect for a casted arm
I was careful using this in the shower and did not let the shower water enter from the top so it truly kept my arm dry.

Easy and functional
After spending the first week wrapping plastic bags over her arm, my wife decided to look for a product like this. overall she is quite happy with it. It's easy to get on and off, has a strong seal on the arm so water doesn't get inside, and is excellently priced. It's a little uncomfortable where it seals on the arm because it's so tight, bu there may not be any other way to keep the water out. Also, it's really big. They should offer this product in multiple sizes so it fits better making use of the covered hand a little easier. Would I recommend this-- absolutely. Is it perfect? Not quite, but close! If we ever needed a similar product again we would happily get this unless something significantly improved came along...

Outstanding effective product!
My cast goes from ends of fingers to just below the elbow. I have no difficulty putting on and taking off the cast protector. The only reason why myrating is 4 stars is the huge size of the "hand" , which is enormous. Maybe this is necessary to accommodate lonf arms and casts. Ineedto crimp up the material in order to use my fingers. That being said, the product is comfortable and meets its purpose very well! Do be aware tha there will be some very light condensation inside after a long warm shower, but nothing that would be any problem for the cast or its lining. Also, the item is very durable and should last for weeks.
