Great to finally breathe!, tho didn't stop snores completely
Of several types and brands (Breathe-right, Dr Andrew McKeown, other highly rated choices on Amazon), these dilators work best for my too-narrow nasal passageway. I am able to breathe soooo much better and I can even lay in any position without it affecting the problem nostril and how I breathe. This type dilator is much different in how it fits internally. Took some getting used to how it feels but the silicone structure is way more comfy than any other I've tried. Does make one's nose look larger/misshapen, however. I find it stays in place ~85% of the time. Occasionally it shifts during sleep, or it'll fall out (or I pull it out) and I find it somewhere on the bed, but for the most part, it doesn't budge. Doesn't stop my snoring (hubby can attest, haha) tho, a) he says it's lessened; and b) I can breathe like never before - honestly don't know how I lived without it all these years! Oh, and it's a breeze to clean. About me: 50s F, snorer, no septum deviation, one extremely narrow nasal passage, allergies, no sleep study done yet. What could be improved: as another reviewer stated, I wish there was a size between the Sm and Med (currently use the Sm).

Relief At Last!
I probably should have known to order size XS (extra-small) since I have to wear a teen-sized CPAP mask and had teen-sized Invisalign braces, but I mistakenly ordered the S (small) size. As a result, they worked very well at keeping my nasal passages open, but weren't comfortable at all. The seller contacted me and I told them this and they immediately set about having the correct size to me at no additional cost. It did take a couple of weeks because it was being sent from China, but I appreciate their quick attention to my complaint. Now that I have the correct size, I am thrilled with this product. If you have the correct size and follow the insertion instructions, it will comfortably keep your nasal passages open all night. I have been unable to sleep on my right side for the past year because my nasal passage would close up even with the constant air pressure from my CPAP. I tried the strips for the outside of the nose, but they didn't always hold my nasal passage open all night and the adhesive irritated my skin. I also tried the plastic nasal dilators that my local drug store sold, but they were so uncomfortable that I could only wear them one or two nights per week because my nose had to heal in between wearings. Now, I can sleep well on either side without waking up in the middle of the night because I can't breath due to a closed nasal passage. I am a customer for life and will gladly recommend this product to friends and family members with similar needs.

Great for short-term use, not a long-term solution.
These work amazing for short-term use. Very comfortable and make a huge difference in my ability to breathe at night. However, after about 3 months of wearing them every night, the inside of my nose started to become worn, and I now have a sore on each side of my septum that is taking forever to heal. I wouldn't suggest them for long-term use because of that. It would be great if the material was a *little* bit softer and kinder to nasal membranes. I'm back to wearing breathe-right strips for now... UPDATE: Woody Knows has probably the most outstanding customer service of any company I've ever dealt with. After I wrote my original review, they asked if I wanted to try their new and improved dilators for free once they were released. I was happy to give them another try, so I obliged. A few months later, they sent me their new model, and although it was a lot softer material, the small size was too big for me now, since they made the dilator material wider. I wrote them to say that they were too big for me, and they promptly sent me a set of XS for free! I have to say the XS is a little too small, and the S is a little too big. I also had to take a file to the plastic ring that sits against your septum, since there was a very uncomfortable ridge on it from the molding process. After I did that they were comfortable, but like I said, the XS didn't dilate my nose as much. The material is much softer, but I almost prefer the old model because they were more discreet, opened my nostrils more, and sat better in my nose. I can't wear them every night because they still irritate my septum, but they're nice to switch off from the nasal strips. I would love to give this product 5 stars, but alas, they still don't work perfectly for me. This company DOES really care what you think and strives very hard to make your a happy customer, so it's definitely well worth giving them a try, since everyone has different nose shapes- it might work better for some people. They also really listen to customer feedback and are constantly improving their product based on reviews and ideas, so that's really cool of them.

uncomfortable
The part that goes inside the nose is reasonbly comfortable and seems to work without any air restriction. However the little plastic loop or clip that goes under your nose is very uncomfortable. Woke up halfway through the night with irritation and pain from that. If tnat part were more comfortable this MIGHT be a winner. Edit 10/31/2014: Earlier this year after trying a couple of these DIY fixes, I went and had a sleep study done and ended up with a dental appliance after finding that I had mild apnea. The appliance has changed my life significantly. If you are looking at these devices, you may have sleep apnea which is a serious medical problem. Go see a specialist! In the end, I spent less on the true solution (with insurance coverage) than I did buying things like this that don't work at all.

Yay! Just what I was looking for!
I'm a female with a deviated septum who has relied on Breathe Right Strips for ten years to help with nighttime breathing. I was finally sick of the expense of the strips, not to mention the permanent ridge in my nose and the residual glue that always showed up under my makeup. I Googled alternatives and came up with WoodyKnows and Snore Vents. I ordered and tried both, thinking it might be nice to alternate the two for comfort, but I gave up on the Snore Vents after three uses because they actually clogged my nose so I couldn't breathe. The WoodyKnows nasal dilators are not only more economical than Snore Vents and Breathe Right Strips, they are vastly more effective. It sounds silly to say I feel younger, but I'm breathing so well through the night now that I wake up feeling very rested and able to take on much more throughout the day. My brain is clearer, too. I have an average female nose and ordered a size S, which fit perfectly. They come two to a box, and I'm still on my first pair after three weeks. I'm curious to see how long they'll last, but so far I am a more-than-satisfied customer; I'm ecstatic! PS -- The ridges in my nose from the Breathe Right Strips aren't gone yet, but they're much less noticeable. Hoping they clear up entirely. Yay!

Even the small size may be too large.
I purchased these for nasal congestion while I was sleeping. I bought the small size, but they are still a little too large to wear for more than a couple of nights. After that, they irritate my nose so much it becomes too sore to use these. As far as fit and comfort for those two days, they worked great and did stay in all night. I have had a problem with other products falling out during the night.

Husband actually noticed!
Bought smalls, xsmall would be nice to offer but they still work well and only took a day to get used to. Husband even made a comment about my reduced snoring (sound and not as much) when I forgot one night and put them in halfway thru the night. He had no idea why but made an observation about how bad my usual snoring abruptly stopped halfway thru the night. After I explained why, he was impressed. Like the clear finish so they aren't as noticeable. Nothing else has worked for me so this is an economical solution. Plus, my dry sore throat pain in the morning has been reduced since using these. Give them a try!!

Great product!
I have been a mouth breather all my life and I have been told that I probably have sleep apnea. I had been waking up several times during the night because my mouth is so dry and my family says I sounded like a freight train. Since I've been using these nasal dilators, I no longer snore, I breathe through my nose and my mouth is not dry. I sleep so much better. They are comfortable to wear and I don't even notice that I have them in. Occasionally, they do slip out during the night and can be a little difficult to find. I think I'll put a little dot of nail polish on the band to help me find them. I am so very pleased to find such a simple solution after 60 some years of night time misery.
