No Wake On LAN support and very bad customer support from MSI
My primary purpose of purchasing this product was for setting it up as a small hypervisor as it has a very low energy footprint.Since power outages are common at the place I stay and I use a managed UPS as a power backup, the UPS shuts down the PC if the battery backup is beyond a minimum threshold but when the power comes back online there is no method to bring PC back on. Without Wake On LAN someone need to manually power on this PC and since this is inside a network rack it's difficult to access the device.I use a Raspberry Pi to turn on all the devices in the network using Wake On LAN but every host in my network support Wake On LAN except this Cubi PC. Wake On LAN is a basic feature in PCs now a days and I was amused to see that there is no option to enable Wake on LAN in BIOS, while it's clearly mentioned that Wake On LAN is one of the method to power in this PC in the PCs user manual. So I contacted their web support and they provided some link to some knowledge bases which doesn't support this model. Then they asked me to reach out to [email protected] for further support and they provided the same knowledge base web links. When I asked if I had to upgrade the BIOS to enable the feature this was there response."Dear Customer,Greetings From MSI…….As we have check right now there is no further BIOS Update available for this Unit. So you have to use this item as current feature available on this unit."So they are basically saying that they can do nothing to resolve an issue where the feature mentioned is not available in the product. I felt like cheated. This may not be a common use case for all users but the way their support responded to my query makes me feel like it's not their responsibility to provide support for a documented feature that is missing in the PC.Really pathetic support from MSI. I also have many mini PCs from Intel (Intel NUCs) and I haven't faced any similar experiences from them. And to the people who say these are better than Intel NUC then I can say that this one is very pathetic in design and functionality compared to Intel NUCs, also Intel support is far more better than MSI support. In addition to what I mentioned above there is one more design issue they need to address which is related to the HDD, it supports both M2 SSD and SATA HDD, but you cannot use both of them together and if you try then your SSD will overheat and may go bad. Also HDD is mounted on the bottom air vent and once it's mounted it blocks almost 90% of it and so it's advisable to go with just M2 SSDs rather than HDDs.This review is more related to the product and manufacturer support and not related to Amazon shopping. I am happy with the shopping experience through Amazon and the seller promptly delivered the product on time.

Impressive performance for such a small form factor PC
I directly purchased it from one of the authorized reseller. Installed 16GB RAM and a 2.5'' Crucial 480GB SSD. Have been using as an sql server, primarily to cache the data. I haven't noticed any issues as of yet. It's quiet and power efficient. One advantage over the entry level NUCs is the presence of an M.2 slot and a WIFI 6 module. If you intend to run it 24x7 as a server like plex, pfsense, etc., its a good choice and far more better than the Intel's own NUCs in this range.
