When the charging starts, the batteries in the waiting stand by-room will channel to the recharging slots to be quick-charged. About 4 batteries will be charged at once and it will take and an hour. The charging will be continued until all batteries in the battery storage are completely charged. The fully charged batteries will be channeled to the battery stroage automatically.

I like this charger
Overall, I like this charger.It's super convenient.Just fill in the top bin, without having +/- on certain side, press the button, and it'll start charging in the order, until the top bin's empty.The fact it goes into energy save mode, after a while it's completed charging, it's great, too.However, there's one concern.The charged batteries are way too hot, when it's released to the bottom bin.I have many AAA batteries and it's bit inconvenient to change the adapter each time, especially when the battery runs hot.I could care less about the adapters by buying a set, but hot batteries get me concerned.

Pretty cool!
I'm changing my review. It DOES come with a power adapter. The second one I ordered had it in the drawer. It works as expected and is super cool! You have to make sure you put the batteries in straight so they feed correctly. I like that it doesn't start charging until you press the button. It also has a manual switch so you can chose to just charge or refresh and charge.
