I ordered this dress in size XL in both black and white. I tried the black one on first. The very first thing I noticed upon opening the package was the smell of some kind of perfume. I was hesitant to try it on because I'm sensitive to fragrances and didn't want the smell on me, but I both needed to move on with my day and needed to know asap if I should return either one of the dresses. I was pleased with the fit and pleasantly surprised that there was no gaping in the fabric around the chest. I thought it looked good. (It helped that I had my sweet 6 year old son following me from my bedroom door to the bathroom mirror going, "Oh, you look very nice!") I didn't realize the dress design had the chest area sewn shut before putting it on, but I was glad to see it fit well, without modesty concerns.Hopeful that the white one would fit the same, I tried it on. As soon as I opened the package, I found it didn't have much of a fragrance. You can see through the white fabric, so picking appropriate undergarments would be important. You can even clearly see the pockets through the fabric. Also, the top area with the buttons wasn't sewn shut at all, it was regular buttons. I put it on and there were serious gaping/modesty issues. So, of course, I went back to the other dress and turned it inside out to see exactly how it was done, thinking I could just sew up the white one in a similar way. I found the top area of the black one had been sloppily hand stitched shut. No wonder that one smelled like perfume. Apparently, I was sent someone's return, including their very sensible modification. It's not very neat stitching, but it does the job. If I tried to undo it to do a neater job, I would have been concerned about the long term structural integrity of the fabric, given the holes that have already been made in it. However, I asked someone near and dear to me who has sewn professionally and she said that any holes left by the previous modification should come out if ironed carefully.I feel kind of icky about having tried on someone else's dress that they either washed, but their strong perfume didn't come out, or didn't wash at all and just sent back. Having paid for a new dress, I also find it concerning that I was sent a return at all, especially in this condition. (The fact that it seems to work in my favor is extraneous.) I'm in the process of deciding whether I'll keep it and deal with it or get a replacement and sew the new one shut better.However I decide to sort that out, as long as I can sew the top shut to prevent gaping, it does seem to be a nice dress. Despite the less than ideal aspects of this experience, I'm even still considering getting more of these dresses in other colors. Therefore, I'm giving four stars.In case additional context helps, I'm 5'8", in the process of losing weight (about 193 lbs. for now), and my current measurements are as follows...Shoulders: 18"Bust: 42"Waist: 32.5"Hips: 48"

I am very pleased with my purchase. The dress arrived within 2 days of placing my order. The dress is as advertised. It's very comfortable to wear, breathable material and very vibrant colors. I received many compliments when I wore my dress. I have already placed an order for a second dress in a different color scheme! Initially, I was concerned as to whether I had chosen the appropriate size for my body type. I decided to go with Amazon's suggested sizing recommendation and ordered an XL. And XL turned out to be the best size for me. I'm 5'4 and currently weigh 170 lbs. I could have gotten away with a large, but it would have been a little snug around my chest (36/38D). The length of the dress is long so if you are under 5'4, and have an average or short torso, you may need to consider high heels/wedges and pair this dress with a wide belt for a more svelte appearance.

I love this dress! It’s very comfortable and flattering. The material is ok, considering it’s all synthetic. It’s a nice weight and moves nicely. Fits true to size, I’d say. The dress is VERY long. I’m nearly 5’7” and I could only wear it with heels. I’ll be wearing it as a casual dress mostly so I had it shortened eight inches and now it’s ankle length on me. I know I’ll wear it all the time. Very happy with this purchase!

The material, the length, the fit and the comfort made me just order another of this dress in a different color. I still have two more to buy, but I’m pacing my self. This is a hidden gem for us modern ladies. I am a minister and this is just perfect and it’s very flattering to my stomach. I especially love how wide the belt loops are so that you can add another belt. Don’t let me get started on the pockets! I ordered one for my mom so we can be twins!Lastly, the material is polyester, it irons well and you can wash and fluff dry with minimal or no ironing and wear again. Im so sad I only took a photo sitting down. I wore it to a funeral. (Updated to include more pics 7.4.22Order now, you won’t be disappointed.

If you're "petite," then keep on scrolling! Although the sleeves of this dress were perfect in every way, the waist was too low and the length was about 8 inches too long. Alteration could have been an option with a more structured fabric, but this was like super thick and heavy swimsuit material. A pity, because the design and workmanship were perfect. With petite options and higher quality fabric, I would have bought this in 3 or 4 different colors. Sad to have to return it.
