I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is a delightful debut novel. It is a fun mystery with wonderful characters and a beautiful story of compassion and forgiveness. I was pulled into the story from the first pages and read it in one setting because I didn't want to put it down. I was given a copy of this book in return for an honest review, and this is one that I definitely recommend to the reader who enjoys a good clean Amish cozy mystery. I am certainly looking forward to the next book in the series.

I was drawn in quickly and found my heart melting with the investigation. I didn't know what I would be reading when I first began this book, but quickly I knew that it was unlike any other mystery I had read before.The level of kindness and honesty within the characters made me find home in human kind again. I had forgotten that mystery characters could be so delightful. A cute story and short. Simple characters. Katie Chupp, an Amish girl works at a bakery. She loves to bake. One morning she enters the bakery and it's been destroyed . She and the owner area upset over who may have done this. Quite by accident Katie discovers who did the act. Enjoyable and quick read.

What a charming first entry to a series. Katie, the Amish employee of the local break-in. She is a kind young woman with a heart of gold. I look forward to reading the next in the series.

The Blueberry Cupcake Mystery was the first book in the Amish Sweet Shop Mystery series. The book captures your attention immediately with a mysterious burglary. Despite the circumstances, the main character, Katie, displayed optimism and was able to come up with solutions to whatever issue faced them. This book has suspense, humor, and shows the compassion that exists in the Amish community. It also has a surprise ending that you were not expecting. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a book that makes you feel good and laugh a loud at the same time.

This was a quick easy read that was also a lot of fun. It is a clean Amish mystery, and it focuses on love, forgiveness, and compassion.I was pulled into the story from the very first sentence, and couldn't put it down until I finished the last sentence. Fortunately, it is a rather short book and didn't take long to finish. I was told this book was a cozy story. It is, but I think "feel good" is what I would call it. From start to finish, I could feel the closeness and compassion radiating from the characters. What starts as a scary and complicated morning turns into a time of discovery and breaking of cultural barriers. Loved it.

A very simple story about kindness and showing God's forgiveness. No mystery story, and I felt this book was for upper elementary to middle school students. Glad I didn't pay more and thought I had found a new cozy mystery author. I do like how she mentions and illustrates her love of God in the story.
