This book has a lot important that I didn't know.After reading this book I want to go back to pennhurst

great look at the issues surrounding State operated schools for individuals that were thought to not fit within our society. Mr. Pirmann has removed the "vail" that these institutions have hid behind these many years. Many dedicated people worked on behalf of others that sadly were neglected and underserved.

This was a good book, even though it seemed to sanitize some of the horrific events that took place there. It's worth reading as long as you don't use this as your only source.

This book was a very quick but interesting read. The information within shows the complete journey on Pennhurst and the pictures to illustrate the lives of those that lived there only make the read more intense. Very enjoyable and makes me want to research Pennhurst further!

I bought this book to get a better understanding of what the patients went through while living at Pennhurst. The pictures are mostly staged with a “what’s wrong with this picture” type of view. I would have been more interested to hear views from the patients rather than the authors point of view.

This book told the sad truth and history of Penhurst. It captured my interest of how America acted toward people with disabilities. If you're into history you will like this book.

It has lot of rich history in this fantastic book. I loved this book so much because of its history.😁😁😁😁😁😁😀😀😀😀😀

It’s interesting to learn about these places. Thank God we no longer put people in them. What a terrible situation they were in.
