Product was exactly what I wanted for out Granddaughter that we gave our 1991 jeep wrangler too she likes working on it herself

As with any Haynes manual, it is sufficiently vague in certain areas to force you to look online for more detailed information. For the basics though, it is more than adequate. NOTE - you have to have a basic understanding of automotive repair and some mechanical skill to get any benefit from this book.I purchased it used, and it was in no worse condition than any of the other 7 Haynes manuals I have on the bookshelf in my garage. Well worth paying less than retail for!

I started working on my vehicles back in the '80s, and Haynes manuals got me through a lot of repairs. I had manuals from the other major publishers, and frankly those were terrible. Haynes were far and away the best. But recently, Chilton manuals have improved quite a bit. Looking back, I would probably have bought the Chilton's, but this one is good enough. I actually bought it for my son, who has a '97 TJ Wrangler. Like most 21-year-olds, he thinks he knows everything and doesn't refer to it very often, but it's been helpful for me. I have noticed that there are a couple things that it has left out. I can't think of those at the moment, though.Bottom line: you won't feel like you wasted your money with this, but it's not the best out there.

Ordered the 87 to 03 version. Received the 87 to 17. Now I have 14 years of unneeded information to filter out. Great price though.

Purchased used and great reference and info and price.

This manual shipped in time to start a project on my jeep. This manual is great. Tells you the basics. The only thing that I noticed is that some areas of the engine need a diagram.

Book is a good resource, but could use better illustrations or diagrams. Of course I am not much of a mechanic so my opinion will not be very helpful to an experienced mechanic.

Giving it fours stars because the title says 1987-2000 but the copy I received only goes to 1999
