This is great. I can put it in the oven, close the door, and check it after a while. Most thermometers melt. This one doesn't.

Imagine no electronics to fail, battery to replace, lasts decades, and it tells you the actual temperature. Amazing what technology cannot replace

this thermometer was amazing, though the clip could use some work, and it did need to be calibrated, and it was bigger than I expected, other than that it worked really well and was easy to read and accurate.

Love the fact they suggest you to calibrate it with boiling water! Clockwise increases temperature.

I avoid one-star reviews, but the Craft911 thermometer earned it. We finally fried chicharrones, and used this deep fry oil thermometer for the lard. It clipped to the side of the Dutch oven nicely. The dial climbed to 195 degrees Fahrenheit and stopped. I checked against three other thermometers as the fat climbed to 300 degrees and over 350 degrees. All were within 1 percent, even the infrared getting the surface temperature. When the Craft911 thermometer was laid with its tip on the hot bottom of the pan, its dial still did not climb much over 200 degrees.It is too bad that the return period already came and went, but at least this grievously inaccurate thermometer can go out with the garbage in the morning. If you use it and believe it, your food will burn.

Received product as described, seems to be of decent quality, should do the job as needed. Only needed to be calibrated slightly. Like that the length of the stem is shorter to use in smaller pots. Product send to be of good quality for the money. Simple design and easy to read.
