Kinda works?
The extra Heel Tips are great and work as expected, the pliers are cheep and do not have a fine enough edge to get under the old tip or peg without great effort. I ended up filing a better edge on it.

Fell apart
So I decided to try to save money n re-tip my shoes on my own instead of taking them to a cobbler. Worst mistake ever or maybe it was this particular product which I think so. Not even 2hrs of wearing my heels for the first time after putting the new tip on they literally fell apart breaking off in pieces. So for the rest of the day I was stuck scrapping the floor walking on just the metal part. I absolutely do not recommend this product. I will try a different brand by a different vendor. Hopefully it works out if not bk to the cobbler I go!!!

Buyers need to know - it's harder than it looks!
I got this because I was hoping to quickly repair my heels for an event I had on the weekend. Didn't work out that way. I do have to say - the items arrived quickly and contained what was advertised. The pliers that come with this product are thicker at the 'pinching part' and do not have a 'thinner' option, meaning that there isn't a way to 'wedge' the pliers between the heel tap (or it's remnants) and the heel of the shoe to easily remove the entire tap. It is very hard to see this in the images (not sure how the pliers could be photographed to show this). When I grabbed the heel tap, I could only grab from the sides, not from the bottom, so the plastic heel tap part came off around the nail that holds it in the heel. The result is that I now have a nail in my shoe and I cannot remove it because the pliers I was provided with the new taps doesn't have enough material to grab and actually any pliers I used didn't have enough material to grab. The other heel had already lost the heel tap (hence the reason I needed to repair it). Because there isn't a way to wedge the pliers between the worn down heel tap nail and the shoe, I can't remove the nail and cannot repair the heel.I will have to find a shoe repairman now (are they still called cobblers?), a cost that I was hoping to avoid by repairing this myself.Vendor recommendation (if they read this review) Having a little instruction note with a "do and do not' list would be great. I've never done this before and, while I assumed it would be easy, clearly it requires having more heel tap and having a way to wedge the pliers between the tap and the shoe. Since the pliers provided do not accomplish this goal, it would be kind to let buyers know that they will need additional tools, like a wedge and hammer (to create enough space between the shoe and the heel tap so the pliers grab under the tap as well), a way to secure the shoe (between the knees is NOT recommended - cracked the hell out of my knees) while attempting to get something between the tap and shoe, and gorilla-like strength to simultaneously pull the tap out while clenching the pliers tightly enough to avoid having the tap just pop out of the pliers. It is harder than it sounds, trust me!

Not so easy to install.
Difficulty to install and to get the heal flat.

Only because it wouldn’t let me give 0 stars
I should’ve paid attention to the reviews on this one and not purchased it.
