At Home In The World: Sounds and Symmetries of Belonging

Praise for At home in the World
This is a lyrical book in the style of the greatest Irish bards. For anyone who has been displaced from a home through exile, migration, or the simple travails of life, this book will be a sanctuary.Throughout the book I was reminded of the opening lines of W H Auden's poem titled Herman Melville."Towards the end he sailed into an extraordinary mildness,And anchored in his home and reached his wifeAnd rode within the harbour of her hand,And went across each morning to an officeAs though his occupation were another island."Never mind that "At Home in the World" is not written in couplet form; it is an elegy to the many things we mean by home.

I gave this to a friend and she is delighted
I gave this book to a friend, and she thought it was wonderful.. She is well versed in Jungian psychology and felt that this book offered new insight. John Hill writes with imagination and has a wonderful feeling for images. I would warmly recommend this book to any person interested in the inner reality of images.I bought this book at Amazon. E.
