Unscripted: The Unpredictable Moments That Make Life Extraordinary Hardcover – April 4, 2017

I absolutely love Ernie on inside the NBA on TNT. To be able to read his life story is Incredible. What he's done on TV and in his personal life is fantastic. It is definitely a good read and this from a guy that doesn't like to read books about people.

Ernie is amazingly well adjusted, genuine and humble. Loved his catch phrases and attitude in looking for uplifting moments in checking off as a blackberry moment.

I ordered this book as I am familiar with Ernie Johnson's story from the documentary on ESPN, and from the many nights I watch him on TNT with Shaq, Kenny and Sir Charles. I am a physician with dyslexia have not read many books cover to cover, but I read this book over the weekend while spending some time in the mountains. It is a great read with an even better message as well as a unique insight to the man behind one of the best sports shows on television. Ernie, I don't know if the feelings I had while reading your book can be considered a "blackberry" but I'm counting it as one in my life. I'm not quite a "believer" but your book and life has brought me a whole lot closer. Thank you for opening your life to me and others like me, and I know my family will benefit from what I learned in your book. My sister has handicaps, and I wouldn't trade her for anything!

Unscripted is a very inspiring book about an inspiring individual. I watched the ESPN feature on Ernie and his family a few years back, and wanted to read this book to learn more about his life and family, and how they have overcome those obstacles. It was a quick, easy and pleasure-filled read. However as a diehard basketball and baseball fan, I do wish there was more depth on his job, his path, and his notorious work ethic and level or preparation. I was hoping for a little deeper of a dig into his profession and livelihood. I would highly recommend the book to anyone interested.

This was an amazing book EJ is an amazing man and father whom should be admired by all.

What a heartfelt, touching book. It made me laugh and cry, mostly cry! How lucky Ernie was to have to wonderful parents and to learn such important lessons from them to then pass on to his own children. I could only wish to have such loving, patient and encouraging parents and such a large, supportive family. It also touched me so much Cheryl and Ernie's selflessness both with expanding their own family by adopting and also being so welcoming to their children's spouses. Again, both my husband and I could only wish for such wonderful in-laws because neither of us experienced that acceptance. His book makes me want to be a better person and to change the patterns of my own family's nonacceptance and pointing out everything one does wrong no matter how much they do right.

I’ve known of Ernie and his dad for years because of the Atlanta Braves and March Madness. I now feel like Ernie and his family are my friends. He does a great job sharing many “blackberries” of his life with transparency and humor. This book shows his strong, daily faith in God, not just in times of struggles, and his love for family and others through his strong compassionate, giving heart. This world needs more Ernies.

Ernie is as funny as he is emotional, uplifting and inspiring. A must read for anyone who needs to remember the important things in life

Great biography by a great human being. I was a big fan from seeing Ernia as the inside the nba anchor and now i'm more fan than ever after reading his bio. What an example of father, professional and human being he is.

Inspiring story from a real caring family man, who has won numerous accolades as a presenter, but from his peers is classed as a really good person. From watching the NBA, I have seen his TV persona, but reading this book tells another side of him, from his own battle with cancer and caring for a severely disabled child. I am not soppy, but found some parts exceptionally moving and heart warming. I read this book in next to no time, and coming from someone who does not read a lot, tells you how good it is.

Very interesting book and definitely worth the read.
