Fresh

Fresh is filled with one “WOW” photograph after another of exciting floral arrangements for every season and occasion. Sybil Sylvester, my sister-in-law, has an amazing touch with color and flowers; and in Fresh, she shares many, many fine examples of her creations. I found looking at the book to be inspiring and uplifting. It was an added bonus to find that the book also included specific suggestions on how to arrange flowers myself. The first time I read this book, I was very taken by the beautiful floral designs pictured in the various pages but I was also inspired by how Sybil Sylvester used various items from her garden to create these spectacular arrangements. I confess I read Fresh from cover to cover that first time because it made me feel very excited about learning to create my own arrangements from a true master of the trade. I am already planning to give copies of the book as presents to some of my friends as I am sure they will be inspired by this book just as I was.

Hands down the most lovely, imaginative, and informative book about floral design. Full of inspiration and tips for professional designers as well as anyone fiddling with flowers for fun. I bought this book for myself and have found it makes a perfect gift.

This book has pages upon pages of gorgeous and inspiring floral designs for all occasions and seasons. There is also a great how to section with supplies lists and step by step instructions to create your own arrangements. The author (full disclosure: my mom) has been at this for decades and there is tons of creativity, experience and wisdom packed into every page.
