70ml is best to re-fill only when your printer ink box reached to its minimum level so that you can easily fill and empty the 70ml bottle without worrying if it gets over in the ink tank.

Finally used a year after purchase, because these refill inks last so long!
Over a year after buying this black refill, I've just used it, because the EcoTank printers are such thrifty sippers. Not sure if the bottle was a little larger than the original supplied, because I couldn't quite fit it all in (minimal instructions suggest it will keep if sealed and upright, though I'll try and finish it sometime in the next year or so), but then I hadn't quite run it down to below the line yet, so might just have been a bit hasty refilling at three years (and about 1800 pages) into the printer's life. THREE YEARS! And the colour tanks are all about 80% full still. Frankly if this refill, bought for just over 8 quid doesn't outlast the printer itself I'll be surprised and a little disappointed. Like all Epsons, it's not a 100% happy relationship, but still no real regrets buying into an ecosystem where products actually cost their honest value rather than suckering the customer in with impossibly cheap loss-leading hardware then extortionate refills that only last a fraction of the time they should.

its printer ink!
does what it says on the box, much cheaper than cartridges and huge print yield that will print a large number of pages. topping up the tanks is easy and mess free. you need to be careful when opening the plug on the printer as that sometimes can get ink on your fingers, i suggest opening the plugs with a tissue in your hand for totally mess free refils.

The future of printer ink
So much cheaper than buying sealed ink cartridges. If you are lucky enough to have an Epson Eco-Tank printer (not cheap to buy) then you will know all about Eco-Tank ink bottles. Here we have 70ml of top quality Epson ink that we use instead of 'compatible ink' in refillable cartridges - you could also use it in a continuous ink supply system (CISS) printer. The Epson ink does not fade in sunlight - unlike weak/cheap compatible ink - and our business is all about reproducing high quality pictures on paper, card and transparent lite film. No complaints yet!

Original Epson Inks
I have an Epson ET-4550 printer and only use original Epson inks for it. I constantly printing and these inks last the distance. Please note that these inks are not waterproof. This does not mean they are not originals but is how they are made and are to be used with certain models of printers. (I am so pleased with my ET-4550 and these inks make it cheap to run.)

Fiddly to open
I love the printer and the fact that the ink cartridges fill up the chamber and they last ages! The inly issue is the foil over the bottle, its tricky to get off and often results in a splatter of ink which is really messy and annoying, I think a better way of sealing the bottle is required. The order process and delivery was very good. Its a manufacturing issue with the bottle.
