Honesty wish I had read the reviews on this one. The overall star rating looked pretty good but many of the negative reviews are right:1. Almost impossible to install on masonry home. Screws are way too short and way too thin to find the right masonry bit.2. Solid brass is misleading. It may be brass, but it’s not solid through the thickness or height of the number (not sure if that makes sense). It’s a mold, so the underneath area is hollowed out.The positive aspect is it does have a nice look and size. 4.75” is the perfect size for my house and the style is exactly what we’re looking for. I haven’t decided yet but there’s a good chance we will have to return if I can’t find longer brass screws and a masonry bit to accommodate that size screw (seems like a #6 or #5) or figure out a way to secure it without the screws (risky).

Currently I have smaller black numbers on my house not noticeable unless you are looking for them in the daytime. These numbers are larger, shiny brass, heavy and of a nice font. These numbers will be seen day or night and will brighten up my doorway. I have four numbers in my address and used these at my previous home and after being up for 12 years, they still looked brand new. They were not pitted or worn. I highly recommend these house numbers.

Purchased this item to replace 19 year-old, corroded house numbers. I found the item to be high quality, sturdy and I expect quite durable.

The number stencils are heavy and mount easily. The oil brushed bronze is very dark and almost appears to be black. They look very nice mounted next to all our other commercial bronze hardware - door, door bell, wall sconces, etc.

Beautiful in appearance and construction.
