Ride a Cowboy 🔥
The Lucas series is hands down one of my all time favorites. I’ve been looking forward to Blue & Meadow’s story for quite some time and it did not disappoint! This book can certainly be read as a standalone, but I STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you start at the beginning because this family is just the BEST! Ida Sue is one of the best characters even written, she is hilarious. Her boys (the crayon gang - all named a color) and her girls (all named flowers) and her man Jansen are phenomenal (she also gives her daughter and son-in-laws names to match). I can’t wait for her other kiddos stories (Marigold and Cyan). But I digress…back to Blue and Meadow (Doe). I don’t want to give any spoilers so here’s a quick run down:- Second Chance with a little Enemies to Lovers- Single mom helping her sick mother- Small town- Told in dual POV (even get a couple chapters from Ida Sue and Jansen)- Plenty of steam- All the feels (I laughed, I cried and felt the angst)! ❤️Jansen had some awesome quotes in this book too:“You, Meadow, have to decide if you’re going to cowboy up and hold on for the full ride or wimp out and fall off before the buzzer sounds. I don’t think you’re a quitter, honey. I’m hoping you’ll prove me right.”“Darlin’, I once had to take care of a whole box of crayons and a small flower garden while Lovey was recovering from surgery. I think I’m good.”Read this yesterday…along with the rest of this amazing series!

Blue defiantly cowboyed up for Meadow
It can be difficult to forget the past when it affects your future the way it did for meadow. Even Blue struggled with his future. Everyone in the family could not wait till this couple got it together.

4 stars
I have loved this crazy family since the beginning. Something about Ida and her relationships with her kids is special. She's unconventional and I'm not just saying that because she names her boys colors and her girls after flowers but its because of all her quirkiness on how she parents her kids. Therefore, I was excited for another book.Sadly, that excitement was short-lived with this book. Parts of it, I loved. Other parts just felt weird and rushed. It didn't flow the way the other stories did , which was a shame because Blue and Meadow had the potential of being so much more.I'm still a fan of this author and am looking forward to the next book with Marigold. I rounded up to a four because I am invested in this family.

💜🌼Cowboy Up💜🌼
Cowboy Up…Book 8 of Jordan Marie’s beloved Lucas Brothers series…Blue’s book…Now, a true Jordan Marie fan can tell you (1)why the series is so beloved, and (2)how excitedly we waited for Blue’s book..I can, without reservation, say it was definitely worth the wait.💜🌼Blue Moon Lucas, the quiet, kinda dirty, cowboy had been somewhat of a mystery to me in previous books, because he was…well..quiet….but Blue lost his high school sweetheart, the only girl he ever loved, nearly a decade ago, and now Meadow, aka the worlds most hurt and gunshy woman, is back in town, and Blue wants her back, and he works hard to prove what a changed man he is…but letting go of the past is sometimes almost impossible…and if they can’t let go of the past..there is no future for Blue and Meadow…Nobody wants that…💜🌼The Lucas Brothers books are all good books about different Lucas family characters…but they all have one very important item that connects them all…and that’s Ida Sue Lucas, the Grand Dame of the Lucas family…and maybe one of the best female characters ever written…She’s hysterically funny and a little out there…and, surprisingly, the voice of reason in the Lucas family chaos…Chaos, she just as easily could have created…Jordan Marie is Ida Sue…yes, I realize I said she’s a little out there…but like sees like… I can’t recommend this book hard enough..💜🌼

Ride pony Ride
Cowboy up is the 8th book in the Lucas Brothers Series by Jordan Marie. This book can be read as a standalone but I suggest you read the entire series for all the feelsBlue and Doe were High School sweethearts that got torn apart. Doe eventually married an abusive man and had his baby. When her husband passed she came back to town to help her mother run the kennel. Her and blue literally came together at a wedding . Result was Doe being pregnant. Doe thinks Blue hates her and will not give in to him.You see when they were together in High School Blue ended it by telling Doe he needed time. BIG MISTAKE. She took that to mean she wasn't good enough for him.Unless these two can find away to each others hearts their story may end. But when you really love someone you find away to make it work. Love is worth all the trials you put yourself thru. All of the Crayola Gang is wonderful. Ida Sue and Janson are par too the core. This book has all the feels. Get ready for a Roller Coaster ride but so worth it

Another great book!
With each Lucas Brothers book, Jordan Marie shows that she can write such flawed characters that pull at the heart strings. I love that her characters aren't perfect and there's a lot of complexity to them. It also seems with each book in this series, the characters are a little darker and broodier. I am so glad Ida Sue had so many children because I never want this series to end. I thought Black was my favorite Lucas brother, but Blue certainly has a special place in my heart as well. I love that someone so gruff and rough as Blue was able to show the world (and her) how much Meadow means to him. I would love for this series to be made for tv or the big screen. I will forever be a Jordan Marie fan.

"I Am Hers"
“Darlin’, I once had to take care of a whole box of crayons and a small flower garden while Lovey was recovering from surgery. I think I’m good.” (I love Jansen and I love this line)I absolutely adored Blue all facets of Blue, whether he's grumpy, arguing with Ida Sue, happy, flirty, you name it. And I really enjoyed this story, it's certainly an emotional rollercoaster.

I love this family
I adorecthis family. Blue and Meadow were high school sweethearts. They break-up when Blue decides he needs to see if the grass is greener before he settles down. Meadow leaves town get married and has a son. She is back in town to help her ailing mother and Blue is determined to win her back. There is the usual craziness of Ida-Sue.

whacky and good as always
Absolutely love the insanity of this family and their non filter talk and banter. Felt that blue and doe were a tad sluggish in getting to their happy ever after but as always ida mae and tigers hit them back on track. Another good read.

Entertaining
A great second chance romance by an amazing writer. I love the Lucas family series. The angst, hot steamy scenes, and the happily ever after.
