There weren't many reviews to go on, but based on what I'd read, I was optimistic. It's much better than that. It's an excellent step up from my old practice sword. Well constructed. Good looking. Most important, the weighing and balance encouraged better flow in my technique. Very much worth the price.

The sword sold here is their low-end product; however, The quality of the materials and the craftsmanship are well above my expectations.1. The weight balance of the sword is spot-on. An off-balanced sword will put stress on the holding wrist and make it much harder to relax the arm.2. I went to their Chinese website to verify the sword length. I am between 5’4” and 5’5”. 29.3” blade length, which is #5 in their size chart, fits me well.Shenguanglong Tai Chi swords are designated for competitions by Chinese National Martial Art Association. On their website, this sword is recommended for “ low to middle Duan (skill level)” competitions. The weight of the sword I received is 20 oz.
