I made a few adjustments to the stitches. Like used chain stitch rather than back stitch for the cat outline. Contour rather than backstitch for the stems. And a closed blanket stitch rather than satin for some of the flowers. I also used some leftover brown thread for the cat rather than the black that was included. Really pleased with how it turned out. But would have been pleased if I followed the instructions too. Great project for beginners as it uses very simple stitches in the instructions but interesting enough design that someone with a bit more experience can experiment. Very sturdy canvas bag. The outlining didn’t rub off easily but did desolate easily in water. Great project all around.

I made this for my stepmum for mother's day. It was the perfect silhouette of her cat. All her friends love it. I learnt some new stitches but the instructions were straight forward.

My girlfriend got this as a gift for her mam and really enjoyed completing it. Good quality bag, thick material. Pattern was very clear and easy to follow. Looks great when finished.

I was looking for a bit of embroidery to take with me on my travels. This fits the bill. Compact, everything you need except scissors, straightforward to do. Probably not for an absolute beginner, but simple enough with clear instructions for anyone with a bit of basic embroidery skills.And you get a fun bag at the end of it! The bag itself is made of robust cotton, so will actually be functional; an added bonus.

I like all these embroidered tote bags! This one is particularly easy to follow, however the chalk like markings do rub off very easily, so take some care when handling it! But enjoyed doing it!!
