The Message of Proverbs (The Bible Speaks Today Series)

Excellent book and very readable on the aspect of Proverbs. As you know proverbs while full of great wisdom is sometimes hard to decipher. The author does an outstanding job of putting together the source of proverbs and explains how they came to be. The wording of proverbs is sometimes hard to understand as the text is full of figurative language of the era. Again the author does a good job of explaining what the proverbs means, who was the possible author and what the language of the period is saying. An easy read

Would recommend to any seminary student studing Old Testament history. It open the eyes to how having wisdom is God and helps us in our day to day living.

Bought these to use in a women's bible study and it is scriptural meat for our souls!
