House Bed Frame Toddler Bed PREMIUM WOOD

I hate to leave a less than stellar review for a mom & pop company like this, but this toddler bed needs some work and with a few minor tweaks could be amazing. I’ll preface by saying that I have been a woodworker and furniture maker for the better part of the last 20 years, but now that I’m a new mom it seemed easier to just buy A bed instead of engineering from scratch. So maybe I know too much!Once it’s all put together, this bed is quite charming. It’s getting it together that is the hard part. Ours arrived in a not very well packaged box with a bunch of unmarked pieces floating around in peanuts. There were no directions included so we had to email the maker through amazon. The other thing that is not included is the specialty square 6” long driver bit you must have to put the thing together. In the age of ikea it seems crazy to me that the seller wouldn’t just throw one of these in and include it in the price. And why the square bit? I don’t think it’s any better than a Phillips head (which is much more common & you’ll also need and which is also not included). There’s also a lot of persnickety directions like “don’t assemble on a rug” (so damage your hardwood floors?) and “don’t use an impact driver, you must use a drill.” The other issue that would be relatively easy for the maker to correct and would make assembly SO much easier, would be to predrill holes in both sides of the wood. Meaning: when 2 pieces of wood come together they only drilled holes in the first piece of wood your screw goes into, the second piece of wood has no hole so you have to drill, undrill, and then drill into the base piece. It takes a bunch of extra time and it’s difficult to get the pieces square and flush. It really makes it a 2 person project when it doesn’t need to be. Mine is sturdy, but we got it with the pickets and slats. Before the additional support of those cross pieces went in, the simple frame was super rickety and here’s no way I would have trusted a rambunctious toddler not to break it.Sooo... bottom line is that while this bed, my version of it, is lovely and solid, you definitely need to plan on a lot of patience l, special equipment, and time to get it together correctly, Even if you feel like you have a high level of skill—- in fact, you may be more annoyed if you do have a high level of skill because you’ll know it should be easier.

LOVE the bed. My wife put it together herself and painted it. She said it wasn't the easiest thing she's put together but it was well worth it. She decided against installing the upper rails so that our daughter can get in and out of the bed easier when she's taller.

Love this bed. The recommended amount of paint he tells you to use if you choose to do so is the right amount. Very well crafted and beautiful. This was exactly the look I was going for to create my daughters bedroom.

Update** this is the most difficult thing I have ever put together! One of the pieces didn't have the premade hole for the 2 1/2 square screws so I had to rig it to get it to connect to the other pieces. Quality of the wood is good very smooth but everything else is frustrating and difficult DO NOT USE AN EXTENDER BUT I STEAD BUY A SSQQUUAARREE 6INCH #2 BIT AFTER GOING TO 3 HOME DEPOT, 2 LOWES, I FINALLY FOUND THE CORRECT BIT FOR THE DRILL AT FREAKING WALMART FOR $5 YOU'D THINK AFTER PAYING FOR SUCH A PRICEY BED FRAME THAT THEY'D THROW IN THE SQUARE BIT FOR FREE. NOTHING IS SIMPLE WHEN PUTTING THIS TOGETHER. I WOULDN'T BUY THIS AGAIN. I'M NEARLY READY TO THROUGH THIS WHOLE THING IN THE DUMP, IF IT WASN'T FOR HOW EXPENSIVE COST ME. VERY DISAPPOINTED IM PRACTICALLY CRYING.

So glad we ordered here. We were originally going to make the bed ourselves, but decided we'd order it to cut down on work. Shipping was quick, contact with the seller was amazing. I would definitely order again if I had another little running around.I stained the wood and removed one of the supports to prevent head banging when putting our daughter in the bed or when she's a bit taller and getting in and out in the future.

The bed is exactly as pictured. I decided to paint the bed.The bed is extremely easy to put together. However, if you are a person who needs, or feels more confident with, instructions you won’t get any with this shipment.The pieces were also kind of thrown together and shipped in a box that made the company seem sloppy.The bed is as pictured so I guess that makes up for the not-so-professional way the pieces are given to the customer.This bed is perfect for my 1-year old who is too adventurous to be contained in a crib, but too small for a “big boy” bed.

Instructions need work. About drove my husband crazy. Seller is quick to help with that if contacted. But it's a wonderful bed. Husband stained gray to match dresser
