Smart pot are sturdy, easy to move, and easy to transfer to bigger pots. Like them way better than a typical pot container.

Used as permanent planters cut slits on bottoms before placing in the ground. Worked very well, plants and transplanted shrubs did very well.

Last year I used 5 gallon Smart Pots with the cut-out handles, but I did not care for them. They were very floppy, difficult to fill, and the handles just sagged over into the soil. I said I would never use fabric pots again, but since they do have some pluses once the ordeal of filling them is done, I decided to try a different brand this year, and also to get 3-gallon instead of 5-gallon pots, because I only grow herbs on my condo patio. These Maui Mike pots seem much sturdier and not as floppy as the Smart Pots. I also think the handle design will be superior to the Smart Pots. I was a little shocked at how very small the 3-gallon size is in person, but I think they will be ok. I have not used them yet, as it is too early in my area to plant herbs, but I have ordered a second package of these, since I will only be able to fit one herb plant per 3-gallon pot. I hope to come back with an update after planting.***Update: The pots worked fine, and the handles and sturdiness of the fabric was superior to the Smart Pot brand. I found the 3-gallon size appropriate for one herb plant per pot. I had 9 of these pots on my patio all summer. Due to the extreme hard water in my area, the mineral build-up is very noticeable on the outside of pots due to watering them with water from the outside faucet, but that would happen with any fabric pot. They do seem like they would easily handle at least another season of use. I would buy these again if I choose to plant in fabric pots in the future.***2020 Update: I encountered no problems re-using last year's Soft Pots this spring for my herbs. The 3-gallon size takes a full 8-qt bag of soil to bring the soil level within a couple inches of the top of the pot. I loved the ease of storing them after the growing season, as they take up very little space compared to traditional pots. I am likely to continue using these for my patio herb plants.

Like mobility and weight (light to handle)o. Require a lot of soil to fill. Do not know results yet; used to plant flowers.

Despite a review by outofthebox in 2020, this product is made in China. It also doesn't come close to 3 gallons, probably closer to 3 liters than gallons.

I a using the planter pots to put water lily plants in them. Hopefully they will keep the lily roots from growing out of the pots and all over the bottom of my pond. This will be a test to see if it works

Love these 3 gallon bags. The Only draw back. Takes ALOT of soil to fill them. Other then that, OUTSTANDING!!!!
