Chrono 509.2 DC 7" 3-Way Floorstanding Speaker Black Each

I have owned and auditioned many speakers (Aperion Audio, Infinity, JBL, PSB, Monitor Audio, Klipsch, Polk Audio, Energy, Boston Acoustics, B&W, KEF, Vienna Acoustics, Definitive Technology and Focal). Listened to these Canton Chrono speakers while auditioning other speakers and was astonished by the sound quality. The highs and mids are clean, crystal clear and detailed. Just a touch on the bright side, but that is my preference. Bass and mid/Bass is the cleanest and most precise I have listened to. DC technology (downfiring bass port), crossover network and cabinet design make a fantastic speaker. German technology. In the listening room with Denon 110/WPC they sound amazing. Canton speakers are hard to find here in the US. They are a German company and sell a lot of speakers in Europe, though. It's a shame because they make really good loudspeakers. Someone I know at a high end shop told me that dealers don't like to carry them because the arrangement is not profitable.Anyway, these are great sounding speakers. I upgraded from Klipsch RF-52ii floorstanders, which are fine speakers, too. But the Cantons, while also accurate and revealing, are more refined. I can listen to them good and loud for long sessions comfortably. The frequency response is quite level from 40 Hz up, and they were very easy to integrate with the subwoofer. I think this is due to the bottom-firing bass reflex port. It is less sensitive to nearby walls and furniture than a rear-firing port. One thing I don't like about Canton is their frequency response specification. These are said to be 20-20000 Hz, but I measured them as - 3 dB at about 35 Hz.Their higher end speakers are made in Germany; these are also made in Europe, but in Slovakia. The build quality is excellent, though, and they are pleasingly heavy. They have kind of contemporary look with the glossy black finish. I would have preferred matte in my living room and for scratch/fingerprints, but these fit in OK and are not gaudy by any means.My first Canton speaker was a used center channel (GLE 455.2, entry level), which immediately improved movie dialog clarity. When the time came for a front speaker upgrade, I listened to similarly priced B&W, Klipsch, Definitive Technology, and Paradigm. Those were all good speakers, but from the center and what I saw online, I took a chance on Canton and am glad I did. The only regret I have is maybe not going for a higher level series, the Vento.

Ich habe die von Amazon.de mit 299€ x 2 gekauft und die Lieferung war nicht wie gewohnt beim Prime, die sind mit DHL 1 Stuck und mit DPD der 2e Stuck geliefert worden, zwei mal sollte ich zuhause für die Lieferung sein (1 Stern weg).Die sind nicht Made in Germany wie ist auf Canton's Webseite zum sehen, sonst Made in Czech Republic, aber die Qualität ist da, nichts zu sagen.Die sehen so gut aus das man kann die auch ohne Musik genießen, gerade ich habe ein witz von JVC ampli und macht gute figur. Eine Yamaha 501 Vollverstärker ist unterwegs und dann werde ich noch ein Update machen mit Fotos.

Good speakers. In the beginning treble were a bit tiring and bass not clear, but after approx. 20 hours of "warming up" sound became softer and it keeps improving. Keep in mind, these speakers need space of at least 18-20 m2, otherwise you'll get boomy sound.

Diese Lautsprecher sind ein Traum. Absoluter klarer Sound mit einem sehr ausgewogenen Bass. So macht Musik Spaß

Alles in Ordnung

Zum Paarpreis von 600 Euro bietet der Chrono 509.2 sehr ausgewogen-klangliche Eigenschaften. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist einfach unschlagbar. Dank der schmalen Bauform (190 mm Breite) wirkt der Lautschprecher zierlich und elegant.

Ich hab die Lautsprecher für knapp 600 Euro hier bei Amazon gekauft. Was soll ich sagen, ich glaube für das Geld bekommt man nichts besseres. Ein sehr guter Einstieg in die Hifi Welt. Klare Kaufempfehlung!

Disclaimer: Ich bin kein HiFi-Enthusiast und habe einfach vernünftige Lautsprecher für meine Musiksammlung aus Metal, Symphonic Metal, Rock, Elektro und Filmmusik gesucht.Die Chrono 509.2 DC sind hervorragende Lautsprecher, die sich bei meinen Tests allerdings in Preis/Leistung den GLE 496 ebenfalls aus dem Hause Canton geschlagen geben mussten.Die Chrono 509.2 klingen in meinen Ohren vor allem bei orchestraler Musik noch einen Tick klarer und lebendiger als die GLE, sind allerdings auch deutlich teurer.Bei weniger anspruchsvoller Musik klingen die GLE 496 für mich weniger "nervig", aber im Endeffekt spielen beide Modelle auf hohem Niveau und welches besser gefällt dürfte zu großen Teilen einfach eine Geschmacksfrage sein.
