Better than B-HYVE by a long shot!
This product is extremely easy and amazing to use!I tried the B-hyve system and it was total garbage. I am a very tech savvy young man and still was having difficulty even getting it to connect to all its components. It had bugs all throughout its software that drove me absolutely nuts AND the app cost me $10 that I was never refunded.. too nuanced and wouldn’t work. Had to delete the app from my phone and reinstall the entire system to even get it to barely work. Most of the time it wouldn’t even see my WiFi.So I went with my gut instinct and found something that looked like the people that made it actually care. That’s when I found this gem!The app is by far the best user experience I could ask for and I am a UX designer. And it’s free! Doesn’t have a weird Pro version for something I’ve already paid for. It took me 5min to set up the app after initially plugging in the Bluetooth to WiFi hub and installing the smart water controller onto the faucet with the plumbers tape that was included. It’s very responsive and the notifications are nice to have so you can tell if it’s on or not without visiting the app. If I start it manually from the app, it has about a .5 second delay from the moment I push start until the moment it starts. It also has a smart system that will cancel your daily schedule if it rains or will rain that day. So, drought no-more!It was pretty easy to get my wife added to the app account so that she and I can manage the same system from anywhere and see when either of use run the water so that we don’t accidentally do it more than we should.Overall if fits perfectly in the not too much or not enough category. It feel like they really tired not to overwhelm the user and deliver a great product!Thank you and hope this helps with your search to not kill us all by over watering your yard 😘

The Diivoo Smart Sprinkler Irrigation Timer saves us time and effort
We have a two of Diivoo Smart Sprinkler Irrigation Timers, one single and one double (3 "zones"), one for the front and two for the back of the property. They save us having to go around and turn the sprinklers on and off. We schedule them so we don't forget to water the gardens.

Works great if it comes with all its parts
The first timer, we received had a defective battery connection. However, after returning it and receiving the new one, it has worked fine.

Really reliable pool filler
I use this for filling my pool when I'm away. I wish I'd bought it 10 years ago. It's inexpensive, reliable and works well. I set it for 10 minutes per day and I never need to worry about the pool pump losing prime.

Not that water proof
Not water proof, my unit got very wet and it no longer work. The unit comes on and it will connect to wifi and Bluetooth how ever it will not open or close the valve since getting wet. Since it is out of warranty I open it up and dried it up. The valve still work if you put direct power to it, it will open and close but the board no longer send signal to the valve to open or close so it must have shorted something when it got wet.

Exact timing for watering tree - Bluetooth/WiFi
The media could not be loaded. Turns on exactly at the time that I set, runs for the exact duration, and then turns off and does that as regularly scheduled; even checks the weather to see if I need to water my tree or not if it rains on that day. I bought this to water and new tree I planted.Super easy to hook up the timer and runs on a battery so I was able to locate it closer to the tree. I disconnect the tree irrigation hose from my regular hose and use it for other things if needed and reconnect.Easy to use phone app that works on my phone connected to Wi-Fi, but especially useful is the connection to Bluetooth because I located the timer further away from my home then my home network can easily cover without a WiFi Extender. This timer is way better than the manual timer I purchased before and that does not have the Phone app and was a more bulkier construction. This Smart WiFi/Bluetooth timer is hooked up to a hose and I leave the timer in the garden almost invisible to sight.Excellent.

40% drop in flow and app has some issues. Good for ONE sprinkler.
Diivoo garden timer valve; these garden hose timers all use the same underlying generic app that is rebranded. In short, it works OK, but the 3rd party app is a dog! The device itself is OK, but has some issues. Only good for one yard sprinkler. The valve has about a 40% drop in flow. Enough that four sprinklers will not run. When the valve is removed, the four sprinklers work fine. This particular unit has a better female connector than other brands. Note the "teeth" on the nut that attaches it to a faucet; and DO NOT attach directly to a hard faucet connection. Use a short leader hose (6 to 12 inches) to eliminate stress on the PLASTIC connector. Others makes have a knurled surface on the nut which has other reviewers saying it has cracked. So I expect this unit will hold up. Even so it IS PLASTIC so a short lead in hose to relieve stress on the connection is best. Should connect the top connector to the faucet lead hose first, and then connect the hose to the sprinkler. I have mine hanging over a lawn chair arm for now. Too bad this unit is not available with an AC adapter. Running on batteries might be a problem for the cycle soak mode. I am using a soak cycle at 1 minute duration and 15 minute intervals. Will update after a two day run to see how the battery goes. Am using NiMH rechargeable which are 1.2v so the battery indicator in the app is off about 25%, but that is an app issue and NOT an issue with the device itself. It expects 1.5v batts, but these would have to be alkaline and they would get used up pretty fast! Maker "says' batts will run for 6mo, but I doubt that since the valve has to be "held" on (energized) for the duration of a cycle; further batt life testing to be done. As far as the app, it is very crude and poorly designed but I was able to work my way through it (I am a software developer so I know about oddball software quirks). getting the unit to "pair" with WiFi IS flaky. After all the coms were set up it seems to work OK. The WiFi system uses Bluetooth to connect with the valve from the "gateway" wall wart, and uses WiFi from the wall wart to the WiFi router. I tested the valve at about 30 feet from the gateway. max range is unknown. The gateway is about ten feet from the router. So as far as connectivity, it is OK. hardware wise the device gets a 5, but the app drags it down. Buttons in the app fail to respond giving the appearance the app is stuck. The log/history cannot be saved off, NOR can it be DELETED! No way to clear it. The manual turn on is slow to respond. There is no feedback until the valve actually switches on. However, turning off is immediate; go figure! The font sizes are inconsistent and way too small. NO good reason for using such tiny fonts! Note the app is a third party program which is NOT created by the valve maker. I tried other versions of the app from Google Play for Android, and they all have the same issues. Will provide an update after a few days of use!UPDATE: Seems the battery WILL last a long time. Thought the valve has to be energized to stay on, but looks like it "latches". Discovered this when testing for low battery by REMOVING the battery pack that holds the two AA batts. With the sprinkler on and spraying, I pulled the batteries, and the unit did NOT turn off; NOT GOOD! Should ALWAYS turn off when the batteries go dead or low! IN a small green house, this would have created a flood. However, it does show the way the valve works is by latching; i.e., it does NOT use power to stay in the "on" position, so the only time power is consumed is in running the timer computer and then switching the valve into off or on. Therefore, the batteries should last a month or longer. Has to drop it down to two stars because of the failure to turn off when battery is low! But if used out in the backyard, this would not be an issue; just means the sprinkler is running all day and you have a very wet yard....

Good customer support
I had trouble in the set up and called the helpline. The person I spoke to was in Ontario, knew his product. Top tip, don't try lithium batteries, that was my error. Have been using all summer no issues. App is easy to use, helpline talked me through the install.

I love it , works as advertised
It’s simplicity is it’s strength, Smart Life app was easy to setup. You can add as many schedules as you want and adjust the duration by single minute increment, not the 15 or 30 on some devices.App shows local forecast and has a quick extra watering button or a weather delay for those rainy weeks.Battery meter on the main control page and is still at 100% a few months in👏👏Love it !

Excelente

It works, but worth the price? depend on your setup
Reason to Change: I had typical digital timer on the sprinklers before. it was difficult to put delay on the digital timer while I was away. I do not want the water to spray everywhere when it is very windy, ie causing rust stains on the surface. The installation was straight froward. I have been using SMART LIFE apps already, so it is not too difficult. Basically, the valve controller is a bluetooth unit and it uses the gateway module to connect it to the home network. You must add the Gateway first into the apps, then add the valve controller under the Gateway portal, as seen in my screen capture. Otherwise, you could have connected the valve controller with bluetooth instead of the home Network. If you add the valve controller into the smart life apps with bluetooth, you will not be able to control the valve controller while you are not within the bluetooth signal range.I purchased 2 units so far in 2 separate order and the 3rd one is on its way. I tried the first one, it worked. Then I put a 2nd order and received the 2nd unit to tested out the signal coverage to confirm it.. Then I ordered the 3rd unit and I was surprise with the PRICE GOUGING. The unit was already 60% more in value compare with buying it in USA, Canadian always pay more. When i ordered the 3rd unit, the price increased by 40% within 5 days. It made me to rethink if it worth the value. I will put my inputs at the end.Tips on Installation1) The valve controller is a blue tooth unit. One Gateway hub can connect multiples bluetooth unit. You may consider to buy the bluetooth model without the the hub, save min 20CAD.2) The blue tooth signal coverage (with line of sight) is very good. I tested with the valve with around 70 feet away and it works. Without line of sight, around 30 feet and it works.3) Yes, you can see and control the valve with Alexia, but I am not able to use the voice command to control them. I tried the keywords "turn on", "switch on" and "activate", all failed. My inputs on this:The valve controller interface on the Smart Life apps is straight forward. I have been using it only for a few days.I think if your irrigation system is soaker tube or drip system, I feel the regular digital timer is good enough, the price to pay for having remote control is too much.Because I am using Well water for the lawn sprinklers, I do not want the water to strain the surface in a windy day while I am away. That is the main reason to have remote control on these sprinklers. If I am home, I just put delay on the digital timer on site.If you have no concern on surface strain from the lawn sprinklers in a windy day, I feel the digital timer is good enough in comparison on the PRICE GOUGING on the valve controller. That is my opinion.
