This product works very well for me
I now have 2 pairs of these and have recently ordered 2 more pairs (on the way). Obviously, I like this product a lot. But I am not using it the way many people are -- for plantar fasciitis. I am using it for degenerative osteoarthritis. I have a pretty bad case of it and it very much affects my feet. I walk a lot, usually 3 or 4 miles every day, and so my feet take a beating, even with good shoes and cushioned socks, and with soaking them. I have the customary swelling -- more aptly known as "thickening" -- in my feet that comes from this kind of arthritis, along with constantly aching feet at night.I wanted some kind of compression sock or sleeve to use at night. I like to sit and read, and I usually elevate my feet -- and I thought compression would help. These sleeves are perfect for me. I think it is vital to measure correctly. These DO NOT go by shoe size, and they DO NOT go by the circumference of your ankle. They are sized by the circumference of your ARCH; that's where you measure, from the bottom of your foot and arch up around the top part of your foot. The size chart on the box reads this way: S = 5 to 8 inches circumference; M = 7 to 10 inches circumference; L = 9 to 13 inches, and XL = 11 to 15 inches circumference. My circumference is 10.5 inches so I bought a large and they fit perfectly -- a little snug but not too tight at all. Quite comfortable after the first 30 minutes or so.Right now, I am using these at night for maybe 2 to 4 hours, and so far, they have really reduced the pain on the tops of my feet and the swelling there. For the first time in many months, I can actually get up and move around the house at night very comfortably and normally, and not feel that my feet hurt me with every step. I can get around generally fine during the day, but I used to dread the evening when I became less mobile. Now, I slip on my FS6 sleeves at home every night and feel about 90% better than I used to. These sleeves have just the perfect amount of compression for me (I would call it light since the material is 24% spandex and 76% micro-nylon), and they have improved the quality of my life a lot. I won't be without at least 2 pairs from now on.

Excellent!
Over the past year and a half I have had arthritis in both my ankles. I have tried every foot/ankle sleeve/support I could find locally. I tried all of them from CVS, Walmart, Target, and a nearby Medical supply store. They all had the same problem: they worked fine barefoot, but were too bulky to fit in my shoes comfortably unless I wanted to buy shoes 2 sizes larger. My foot and the support were too bound by my shoe and even though I did want support I did not want that much of a restricted range of motion. I started to have more pain because of the restriction. Now that's where these come in. I was sold a pair of these by my podiatrist and they were exactly what I needed. They give a good amount of support but are thin enough that you can wear them with normal socks and shoes without any issues at all. They aren't too bad looking either if you wanted to wear them with a pair of sandals or flip flops. I wear a size 13 shoe, sometimes in a slightly wider than normal size. I have pretty thick, but not very thick calves and ankles. The large size OrthoSleeve fits me perfect. They are a little hard to get on if your feet are moist or clammy. The company does not recommend leaving them on for more than 8 hours without a break(because of circulation), and I do agree, they start to hurt after more than 8 or 9 hours of wear. They also recommend hand washing them to extend their life. I hand wash them with mild soap (I use Dr Bronners for hand soap and this task) and hang to dry about once a week. I seem to wear out a pair every 6 months. Amazon is by far the cheapest I have found to purchase these. Half the price they are at my doctors. These are absolutely perfect for several foot problems. But please do not use these as a replacement for seeing a doctor if you have pain or swelling that is not ordinary for your health. It could be something more serious. My ankle arthritis was found to be caused by a disease called Sarcoidosis that had also negatively effected many other parts of my body. The arthritis is getting better with medication, but these still do help a lot. I highly recommend.

GREAT product for leg and lower back pain.
For over a year now I have had a lower back pain which I was told is piri forsis. The pain starts in the lower back and as I walk radiates down to my legs making walking INTENSLEY painful. I saw several doctors none of whom could really do anything (and physical therapy, yoga and chiropractor only helped for a day). This item was recommended by a friend (who I often call my holistic hippie contact), and I truly doubted it would do anything to help. But for lack of other options, I figured give it a try (as daily of codeine -Tylenol 4 - is NOT something I desired).I can not tell you exactly what this thing is doing or how it works. I can tell you it was a GREAT investment. Yes, I still have pain when I walk, but it has gone from a 7 or 8 (on a scale of one to 10) down to a very manageable 1 or 2 when I am out walking. The pain also takes longer to actually start (used to be in the first few blocks...now it does not even start till I am passed the 3 mile mark or on my feet for well over an hour). I am able to walk close to my normal older routine (which is about 5 miles every other day). It takes some getting used to the feeling because it is a little tight fitting, but I think that's what makes it so effective. But it can be worn under socks, or with sandals since its skin toned. After a few days, you can still feel it on, but is hardly noticeable to you. Jut make sure you actually wear it properly...make sure the fit is smooth with no bunching (as this will annoy you after a short bit). And if I wear it for a full day, usually the next day I can go without it with the effects still holding. I have been wearing it now for about 6 months, so my words are based on an actual lengthy duration of use (still on the original pair, so yes they are durable and long lasting).

After having Plantas for over 18 months and trying everything from umpteen new pairs of shoes and trainers not forgetting insoles and arches I actually found the product that works.I’ve now had these for six weeks and what a difference, within two days my feet like they were in heaven and feeling seventy percent better. They didn’t feel like they were on fire and for the first time in months I could actually get out of bed and put my feet down and walk to the bathroom with not feeling in so much pain and agony. After doing a full days work and sitting watching TV they would be on fire and soon as I would stand up and could hardly walk… no more. Six weeks down the line I’m not suffering and upto ninety five percent improvement, I don’t have to wear them at the minute so fingers crossed. If I do start to suffer they will be straight on.I would say tho don’t go by your shoe size if like me your feet swell when your suffering with plantas I would recommend getting a tape measure and measure around your foot just by the arches. They fit so snuggly it’s just amazing.I wash them in the washing machine and just leave them out to dry overnight and they are ready for the next day. I actually brought a few pairs because I don’t do a load of washing everyday.
