It arrived well protected and packed in a custom made black box. I have to admit that when I removed it from the box that I was impressed with its heft and design. It does not look like your normal junky piece of black (or white) plastic and its construction gives the impression of durability.Utilizing smart port technology, this charger detects each device's preference setting and allows it to charge at full speed. A small instruction manual comes with it giving the unit's specifications, how to use it properly, and answers 4 frequently asked questions. This charger also comes with a 12 month limited warranty -- although I wasn't able to find any details about it. Of course, if it doesn't meet your expectations, you can return it using Amazon's 30 day return policy.The biggest problem with this item is its cost. At $12.99, it might appeal to those who like all things nice and tidy in their cars. It is certainly an attractive and small product and might match your dash if the color combination is white and aluminum. But I have been using a similar dual port charger by Anker with great success for almost a year and it is currently available for $8.99.Some consumers will pay $100.00 for an iPhone cover that makes a statement, but others will be happy with a $12.99 case that provides the same or better protection. If you are fashion conscious and wish to have something other than the normal stamped plastic charger, this item might be for you.

I ordered this because we are forever taking turns charging phones and tablets in the car. I was surprised when I received it to realize it is heavy duty and not a cheapie. With so many choices nowadays you never know. I don't really know too much about the amps and logistics but I do know that it charged my iPhone and sons tablet at the same time and was fast. It actually was faster than the single one I had before (bought it at a gas station for like 6 bucks) this one is so much better! It works well with just one charging also. While this charger is a little more expensive than others you see out there I find that it is worth it. It chargers much faster and is sturdy and well made.
