high quality materials and realistic
My son is crazy about supercars and was so excited to see this. the packaging was nicely branded and looked high quality. The design (not that I have seen many in the flesh) seems accurate to the car and all the pieces were there. The building was quite difficult - tricky to get off the plastic surrounds - however didn't feel like any parts were going to break or snap due to the materials being high quality. Instructions were clear its just quite fiddly in my opinion to put together but managed eventually. The stickers were especially tricky.Once built it felt very sturdy. It then turns into a RC car, again at my sons delight, all that was needed was 3 AA batteries for the car and another 2 AA for the remote. It had plenty of play and batteries lasted well. we used some disposables and haven't needed to replace them yet and its been around our 'test track' a good few times now.Handles well and moves in all directions. I do feel like it is well designed and the end build is very sturdy considering my 6 year old definitely needs driving lessons...Good for collectors as a little project but smaller children may need some help. Would happily recommend and i do feel the price reflects the face its a RC car at the end of the project.

Pole Position!!
The media could not be loaded. As an avid F1 fan I thought I would give this a review - at £70 I didn’t hold out much hope for something of decent quality. When it arrived I was very impressed by the details, the quality and the likeness to Charles Leclerc’s actual F1 car. I eventually got a free afternoon to put it together (with the exception of the stickers) and have to say it is so simple to build - although some minor errors in the instructions - and doesn’t require any specialist tools. All that is needed is an adult (if you’re a child), a Stanley knife, a pair of tweezers and an afternoon of your time. The remote control is simple (too simple for older children), the speed isn’t mind blowing - you won’t set any purple sectors - but it’s decent enough for younger children. Seems durable enough if it has an “off” into the kitchen cupboard though!!Happy to recommend at £70 - now to get the stickers on!!

Moderately challenging build
It's been a very long time since I've built a kit and also my hand to eye coordination isn't the best so this was a little bit of a challenge for me! Nevertheless, this is an engrossing and interesting kit which really goes into a lot of detail about how the car is constructed and gives you a few hours worth of doing something other than playing with your phone. The instructions are pretty clear, my only problem was that part C36 was not clearly labelled in the instructions so it was impossible to tell where this was meant to go, nevertheless I managed to build a car without it so I'm not quite sure what happened there. The level of detail is incredible. It's fun to put the stickers on as you go, as it really helps bring the shape together in your mind, and you can check against the picture on the box to guide you. Some of the stickers are really tiny so definitely use tweezers as otherwise you risk either losing them or sticking them on wrongly. The remote control gives you complete directional control, you need 3 AA batteries in the car and 2 AAs is in the remote. You get a real sense of achievement from something that you've made yourself and a good toy to boot. Nice set, a bit pricey.

Good but tricky to build
I got this to build with my son who’s 5, he was unable to build it but I no oils follow the instructions and managed in the end. It was a bit trickier than I had thought it would be but if you’re into building things with little tools then this would be perfect. It goes really well and doesn’t fall apart if lightly crashed. I would recommend for older children or adults.

Really impressed how fast and controllable this car is , flawless movements!
It looked so much more expensive when it turned up. Decent size and stylish design. The presentation box is of a high standard and the car looks absolutely brilliant. As a kit, It was not too difficult to assemble it , just follow the instructions which Is very clear. It took us a while to complete, but once up it just looks amazing. This Helps and encourages hand-eye coordination.Material feels very good, decent quality, quite hardy (many of us crashed it into many walls) and responsive to the controller. You have to put 3 AA batteries in the car which seem powerful enough and quite long-lasting, and the cars are very robust. It continued to work well even after having a few crashes and constant ramming into stationary objects. It’s lightweight , doesn’t take up too much space, ideal for packing and carrying .It is easy to operate, Speeds up very well, steering is also fabulous. Drives well on practically any surfaces, goes over bumpy ground easily. We have tried hardwood flooring, carpet, marble, and a very long shaggy rug, tarmac and gravel…..it worked just as well on all.Thoroughly recommend giving as a super present that somebody would be delighted to open.
