Great Replacement
Excellent replacement filter for the GE. Buy on price drops.

Best available filter option since GE FQSVF filters are discontinued
With the GE FQSVF filters being impossible to find, the premium filtration version of this Amazon Basics replacement filter seems to be the best available option. The non-premium version doesn't filter out as many chemicals and metals, like lead.

This filter serves its purpose, easy to install and fit well. The water tastes better. Price performance is good!

proper fit for the filter
the filters were the exact replica of the one that came new from the factory, so they fit perfectly & work well

DO NOT BUY
This product does NOT work. It would not filter any water after several tries, and ended up breaking my water valve which cost over $250 to replace. This cheaper option is not worth the few dollars in savings compared to buying a filter from the manufacturer.

Easy Install
This product met expectations and we were easy to install.

Still not sure
The first set I got, one of the seals would not seat itself and popped the entire filter off. Nothing I would do could prevent it. I looked it over and other than being a little "floppy/sloppy) in there, I couldn't see really why it wouldn't stay. I took the rubber gasket/seal off and voila, it worked. Amazon did send me replacements but I haven't tried them yet since the first ones are working ok.
