good idea, but problem is anything in the container will smell of the purfume
so a long time ago i took two old deodorants and did something like this myself, its why i bought this what i thought was a more pro version than it really is (it is, the lock is the key) - i pulled the deodorant gel off of one old stick and cleared off the plastic push piece, then i put it under the other used one so it looked like a full one. much like this product*. anyone can buy two and do that... *however that method does not have the lock method that this unit has and therefore my point below does not interfere with me saying buy this product and dont try the version i did, because honestly the lock mechanism on this thing is brilliant.here is the same error though: > anything put inside the stash space will become smelly just like the deodorant smell... yeah i think when i did my own version i used two Mennen but either way unless you dont care or have an item like a wedding ring that can absorb that smell its a good stash idea. <what happens is it all smells like the deodorant perfume...and i mean smells like it. you cant escape it. so coins or money or anything and you still smell the deodorant... hence me writing this to say i would pay for unit as its lock means i dont think anyone will guess there is something inside, but note anything inside will smell like the deodorant perfume. thats a catch22 thing right?to the maker, i guess folks want a masking perfume odor but i recommend making a unit that has a layer under the deodorant rather than just the raw exposed deodorant cake being exposed on the top inside of the thing. you need an odor barrier imho, or do a non perfumed deodorant - i use those versions btw, like arm and hammer or toms of maine... like you i used a smelly one and it takes over the stash contents!!!!!

Good product
Good product, and looks like the real deal. Perfect for my wife's jewelry and I sometimes use it to take a little personal bud with me on airplanes when I travel for work. Good news is there is a lot of space for small valuables, but would have to be reinforced with a piece of cotton of cloth to keep the belongings from moving around. Kinda like when they put cotton on the top of vitamin jars. Not only keeps the product from moving, but also acts as a moisture absorbent.

We wanted to be more safe than sorry and this seemed like an inexpensive solution
Purchased this for our trip to Amsterdam as they check tourists on the trains departing Amsterdam for weed. We wanted to be more safe than sorry and this seemed like an inexpensive solution! We live in Seattle where weed is legal and work in the marijuana industry so we smoke...a lot. We obviously want to be able to carry weed with us to the other countries we're visiting once we leave Amsterdam. The deodorant smell is strong so it masks the dankness pretty well. And even if we do end up smelling weedy, we're not worried about it. I don't think train security would think to look inside a stick of deodorant, lol.
