Is the colorful coleus plant actually edible? i looked it up and multiple sources state that is mildly poisonous to humans. check for me, please.

The colorful coleus is toxic to humans, it’s grown for aesthetic purposes only. Solenostemon rotundifolius. is edible but it’s basically a potato; and then there’s Coleus forskohlii that is edible but it’s more like a medicinal plant. But anyway, the colorful coleus is definitely not edible.

Are these the edible variety of petunia?

Do you have to use the machine in the pictures to grow these?

You can plant our seed pods in soil if you prefer, but we recommend growing them in our Aerogardens. We recommend cutting off the plastic basket to recycle if you want to plant the pods in soil. Please reach out to our customer service team on our website with any further questions or concerns.

Can aerogarden cascading petunia flower seed pods be planted in the ground or must they be started in the aerogarden?

Start them in aerogarden then plant once established (I just cut the cages off). Buy seeds for $2 if you only want to plant them in the ground. No point in paying $$ for that.
