These are great for quilt smaller projects as well as larger. Also makes fun borders. They are a bit of fabric wasters but great for scrap usage. Lots of careful cutting required

thick plastic Mini Twister tool is 2.75" x 2.75"
I made one project but need to finish back & sides). The only thing i missed was that i had to use a at least 2.5" border fabric but mine was about 1.5" so i had to improvise and use the tool in a way i could use the limited border fabric i only had and the 5" squares i used, as i didn't want to waste any fabrics. Result: i cut 3" twisted squares on charm squares so i do have nine extra squares from the cuttings (less than 3" squares each).See picture -- border was narrow and the "windmill" is 4" blade to blade.This cover sheet doesn't give much info but the Twister Sisters Planner Pattern gave me more info i needed and it helped me understand better. This Mini Twister Tool is used for 4.5" squares (charm pack 5" squares OK too) (use 2.5" border!). If you want to use charm packs you can specifically get the Lil' Twister tool.

Totally my first pinwheel project
It was very easy to put together and the instructions was so easy to follow. I highly recommend this! I never do reviews but had to for this. It's a must have project!

Probably my fault....
I bought this create a cool quilt. What I failed to appreciate is that there are two different brands (primitive and twister sisters). They do not make interchangeble rulers. It said medium, I bought medium. My bad. I ruined a pretty nice quilt top before figuring this out. Make sure if your pattern refers to a brand of twist ruler/template, you get the exact brand they specify. I don't accept total blame for the confusion, because no where have I seen this mentioned. I was new to the technique and a brief mention of this would have made this a more pleasant experience.
