I bought these wrist wraps for my teenage son recently, and he really likes them. This is his review of them.The Dark Iron wrist wraps are almost certainly the best wrist wraps you can get at this price. I’ve only had them for a short time, but so far I love them.By far, the best aspect of the Dark Iron wrist wraps is their very high construction quality. The wraps are made of tough suede leather, with four lines of reinforcing stitching. The leather is very rigid and durable, but still has enough elasticity to get a very tight wrap around your wrists. The Velcro strap is micro-Velcro. So it sticks and unsticks with much less wear and tear than regular Velcro, and therefore lasts much longer. The wrist wraps themselves are also a little longer than most other wrist wraps, which is nice, especially for people with larger wrists.Personally, I really like the feel of the leather suede. The wraps are soft, but they don’t slip at all. So far I haven’t used them much for overhead press, but on bench press they give amazing support. I can actually feel force being transferred more efficiently from my hands into the bar. I also use these wrist wraps for throwing shot-put, and they work great for that as well.The only two minor downsides to these wrist wraps are:1. Since they are made out of leather, they don’t have as much elasticity as some other wrist wraps. I like the stiff feel of the leather, but some people might prefer the stretchiness of other wrist wraps.2. The wrist wraps can’t be wrapped into a super tight roll for storage because the Micro-Velcro will only adhere to a certain patch on the wrist wrap.Overall, I think these wrist wraps are an incredible value for the price. The construction quality is really excellent, they give all the support you could ask for, and they come with a life-time warranty to boot. If you’re looking for weightlifting wrist wraps I suggest you look no further than these.

I've become a big fan of Dark Iron Fitness and their products in recent time. I had previously purchased one of their belts and was very impressed with the quality. When it comes to the wrist wraps, the same quality can be found. Firstly, the shipping was fast, reliable and arrived on time with everything I needed. The packaging was of decent quality and right from the start I could tell this product was well made.I've never used wrist wraps before but found Dark Iron's to be very reliable. The wraps are a very decent size and should accommodate almost every lifter out their. The material is strong, thick and yet also comfortable. Whether you decide to use the thumb loop or not is entirely your choice as I found the wraps to be comfortable and supportive both ways. The velcro grip is also much better than I've seen on competitor models and provides a very tight and secure fastening. I found they provided excellent support during my lifts and allowed me to push through an additional rep or two that I don't think would have been possible otherwise.Dark Iron Fitness also provide incredible support to their customers. If there's one thing I can't praise more highly it is their dedication to their customers and drive to make sure all purchases are of the highest quality and any issues or complications are resolve asap. I couldn't praise this company nor the quality of their products any higher!

Over the years I've used a ton of different fitness gear, and Dark Iron Fitness has to make some of the most unique stuff out there.Is suede a wierd material for wrist wraps? Yeah, for sure. There's definitely something different about not stretching a traditional wrap around your wrist.BUT these wraps do exactly what they're supposed to ... they wrap and stabilize your wrist. And do they do a great job of that? YES! These will be the most comfortable and most rigid wraps you've ever used.I can't imagine any part of these wraps ever wearing out.The suede and stitching is top noch, just like all their products.The Velcro was surprisingly great too. Has a long strip of Velcro, the thin kind that doesn't stick to anything but itself. Super secure and appears to be great quality.So, do these take a second or two to get used to? Yeah.Are they totally worth trying? For sureHigh quality, great price, and they stand behind their products ... what else could you ask for?

Wrist wraps are usually made of some elastic material, as most weightlifters know. These are leather, they are much sturdier and they have little give in them. That's not a bad thing, I was able to try these out today during my shoulder workout and they work just as well as other brands. The only noticeable difference is how they feel: they don't hug your wrist but instead lock it in place, they are harder than the elastic, and they don't fold like the elastic. I'm sure it'll just take some getting used to but these wraps were harsh on my joint and they felt a good deal uncomfortable. However, they did their job; they kept my wrists in the same range of motion as the elastic wraps would.These aren't necessarily better or worse than elastic wraps, I think it's all a matter of personal preference.
