This filter was a lifesaver because I had to refill the hot tub after some dye got into the water somehow and I could not get it cleaned up. A birthday party for the granddaughter was scheduled to occur in a week and the hot tub is one of the busy places after the water skiing, wave runners and tubing is done. the filter came in 3 days and I was able to fill the tub and heat it uo in time. The filter was a perfect fit and does a great job of filtering the water. I would recommend it to everyone who has a hot tub and it is a good idea to have a spare on hand.

We had to make NO modifications (enlarging of the inlet hole) to easily slide this new (same) model handsomely into position and get on with enjoying our spa ;-) YEAH!THANK YOU GUARDIAN FOR HAVING A LISTENING AND MAKING THE UPDATE TO YOUR PRODUCT!We’re off to celebrate and have a soak!… 🎂🎂🎂 🙏*********************** ************************ ************************ ************************ ************************BELOW IS THE OLD 2022 review - before the manufacturers fixed the fitting problem - please disregard our following earlier (2022) comments:1) KNOW that despite the seller’s copy or manufacturer suggesting that this filter is a replacement for the standard Caldera 50 sqft filters for (among others the Caldera Martinique) - IT DOES NOT FIT WITHOUT ENLARGING THE INLET HOLE!!!2) Problem: the collar of the inlet hole of these filters are ~ 1cm+ tall and is suppose to fit over the spa’s inlet 2 1/2inch tall intake pipe at the bottom of the filter holder in your spa. The issue is the tolerance allowed to fit down the entire length of the inlet it TOO NARROW - allowing only 1/16th inch extra width across the entire 2 1/2 inch depth that the filter must pass.3) Does it fit? - Well the manufacture may say ‘YES IT DOES’ - so then the Seller does too - But it doesn’t fit! >>> or if it “Does Fit!” It fits Only ONCE … Never To Be Removed Ever Again.4) Here’s the thing … If you try to use it as it comes - Having pushed it - as it comes from the factory) only slightly onto the intake knob -say ~ 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch - the filter is Already SO TIGHT - With NO GLIDE - that you need major lock grips to clamp onto the small removal handle in order to pull, twist and waddle it off again. If you would force it down onto the intake pipe - there would be no means to remove it without disastrous efforts.5) The ONLY WAY TO MAKE THIS FILTER WORK for a Caldera Martinique Jacuzzi is to ream out the interior of the intake hole with a Dremel, or similar tool until it is large enough to be able to glide on and off the spa’s intake knob.- then completely blow out and vacuum out the plastic shavings and dust from the filter… UHG!!!6) Having purchased this filter before - and having had the above experience before - I STUPIDLY purchased it again - when Amazon reminded me that I had purchase it once before - and mistook it for the unit that I had most recently purchased to replace this VERY SAME unit when I discovered that it DID NOT FIT - GO FIGURE!!!AMAZON SHOULD ALLOW PURCHASERs TO WRITE NOTEs / COMMENTs that Come up when the system reminds us about the last time we had previously PURCHASED. That way I could leave a reminder for myself NEVER TO BUY SUCH UNITS - and other notes about products that I may have - like the review I wrote about it etc

We bought a used Caldera spa on craigslist, and we immediately replaced some of the parts upon purchase. We have only had to replace the filter twice in the last year, and that was just to ensure we were keeping everything super clean and maintaining really clear, clean water. The filter works great in our spa, no issues. Definitely captures dirt, bugs, dead skin, and whatever else can be floating around the hot tub. We have never had any issues with cloudy water. It was also a lot cheaper to buy it on amazon than at the spa store, which we have found to be true with most components, tests, chemicals, etc.

Do not neglect this filter. I clean mine one or perhaps twice. But it must be replaced at some point. Sometimes hard to find locally. Amazon is the ticket. Would recommend

No matter what I do to wash the old filter, a new one always seems to work better, especially if the water is very cloudy. This one fits our hot tub without any problem. It took just a little over a day to get the crud out and give us clear water again.

Made in the USA !! Works just as well as the filter my spa dealer was selling . About twenty dollars cheaper though. Fit perfectly

this is the only brand I’ve bought for my hot tub over the 3 years I’ve owned it, and they’ve worked great!
