Great money saver
I'd received numerous notifications from my water supplier, both online and through the post, regarding excessive water usage and I finally tracked it down to a toilet cistern. After flushing, the cistern was still releasing water into the toilet bowl, I imagined it was going to be a costly fix requiring a plumber. I went online and and following a little research, found what I thought may be the culprit. The washers arrived in record time and were fitted within minutes, hey presto, problem solved and I have a spare just in case the other toilets decide to play up!

Simple little seal did the job!
After struggling with a constantly slow running concealed cistern toilet, I bit the bullet and decided to have a go at repairing it myself. Having watched several YouTube videos on the topic, I managed to dismantle the mechanism and narrow the problem down to a silicon seal attached to the flush mechanism. I identified a suitable replacement on Amazon, ordered it and the next day a package arrived containing 2 seals. I immeaditely got to work replacing the worn seal and reassembling the mechanism. The replacement seal fitted perfectly and to my amazement did the trick, no more running toilet. Job done! This small seal saved me the time and cost of calling out a plumber. Something so simple, I will now keep a couple spare seals as I think it is the lime scale in the water that caused the original seal to harden and fail over time (3 years!).

Great
Was easy to fit bit tight but that’s what a seal does stopped my leaky toilets. Great value

Could not fit
Sadly these would not fit the cistern so are being returned they appear very sturdy but would not flex to fit the flush. They have been softened using boiling water but would that weaken the ring and make it less durable so this was not attemptedShame as they appeared good value for money

Dribbling toilet cistern fix and a spare for another toilet
One of the biggest reason for water waste - water dribbling past the washer. Noticed my water softener blocks were going down faster and then noticed the wittle dribble on the back of the toilet pan. Been a long time since I put it in so checked google and then youtube for the fix (and a memory jog). With water turned off the section in my hand can be turned and removed. The washer stretches off and the new one fitted. Locate the unit and turn to lock. See arrow on photo - something you cannot see when unit is in cistern. Job can be done in 5 minutes easily - a lot quicker than the "experts" and their overly long video's on youtube.

size wrong
I was not aware there is more than one size of these washers. These ones I ordered did not fit and so were not used. For the price it was not worth returning them. They looked like they would do the job in the right size unit.
