Best addition to my routine ever! Love it!
I am obsessed with my Epilator! I want everyone to know how great these are! I got into waxing a year ago and loved it because I have coarse dark hair that requires a daily shave to be smooth... I rarely felt I could get through a day without feeling like I need to shave again. I tried sugaring, hot wax, hard wax. I love the outcome of waxing, but waxing hurts, it always makes me flinch when they pull, and its expensive. I don't like having to wait until my hair grows out to then shelve out a bunch of money to start the process over again. I asked the last person who waxed my legs and all my girlfriends but no one had heard of an epilator, and if they did, they thought that I was an old school product that sounded really painful. I decided to try this Braun epilator after some research and figured 1. Braun guarantees your satisfaction with the epilator and 2. its not that much more money than a wax. When I first turned it on I was a bit freaked out. It took me awhile to have the courage to put it to my leg. I took a hot shower and just had to go for it. Now I am obsessed. This is such a great product. You can use it wet or dry, it picks up short hairs so you don't have to wait for grow-out, it hurts way less than a wax, and its a one-time investment for many uses. I am so glad I found out about epilators and encourage you to give it a try. I think waxing (hot, hard or sugaring) hurts way more. I have very sensitive skin. After waxing I usually have red bumps on my leg for 36 hours or so. This doesn't happen for me when I epilate. Some tips: I clean my legs with Tend Skin Solution after I epilate and then later put on coconut oil. When you epilate go slow, and sometimes you have to move the epilator in different directions (not just up and down) to get all the hairs. I first epilated my legs after my final wax, so that may have contributed to my first epilating session being a breeze (since my hairs were more fine than had I been shaving). All in all, I am telling all my girlfriends about this and considering getting them as gifts for my friends. Last weekend I epilated in my back yard in the sun and then went to the beach. My legs looked great. I have already saved money. So much better than waxing or shaving! Give it a shot, it may just become your favorite beauty hack :)

Better than shaving
Based on all the reviews and everything I'd previously heard, I was expecting a painful experience epilating. However, I must have a high pain tolerance because I barely felt any pain. For me, it was a slight pull that was hardly noticeable and bothersome at all. A painful experience had been the main reason I'd been holding off buying an epilator probably for about a year so I'm glad I decided to take advantage of a coupon here on Amazon as well as a main-in rebate. As for the device itself, it worked quite well. It pulled out almost all of the hairs in several passes over the same section. The light really helps illuminate the section you're working on and show whether the hairs have been pulled or not. Some hairs don't get pulled but rather trimmed. So those ones come back in about 2 weeks as opposed to 4 weeks. I did a quick re-do on both legs and took care of anything that got missed. For me, I don't get the smoothest legs. I'm prone to in-grown hairs and some stubble. But the hair doesn't grow back as quickly. I get weeks worth of results. And I'm absolutely terrible at shaving. My skin is so sensitive and I cut myself no matter how careful I am. This gave me much better results. No cut. No more scars. Surprisingly, the next morning, less irritation. Although, immediately after epilating there is a little redness so don't do it right before an important event or if you need to leave the house and will be exposing your legs.Overall, I'm very happy I decided to get this device.

Not worth it
Okay listen. I use to spend so much money at the salon waxing... this has saved me so much. It works great! I use it on my face, legs, and arm pits. Im not gonna lie, the arm pits hurt...I don't know if I'll build up tolerance but O.M.G. did it hurt. My face and legs are completely tolerable and although it takes a bit of time im completely happy with it. Knocked one star off for the pain in the pits!UPDATE**** I've only been using this a couple of weeks now....I was using just the razor feature on my legs when it split open and cut my leg! Im very disappointed. I had high hopes for this, as you can see by my initial review.

Not grabby enough
So this is an epilator. If you were expecting painless, you're uninformed as to what it does. My complaint is NOT the pain. It's the efficacy of this one. I used another brand that pulled more hair on a single pass before, and this one just doesn't live up to it. It works, it's loud but it works. I just wish it grabbed more hair in one go.Also: portion - it's easier to start after a wax because your epilator is a fantastic maintenance tool. The initial pull is by FAR the most painful. Maintenance? Not a biggie, comparatively. I had my buts waxed and then maintain them. Not had to go back to waxing since I bought it.

Leaves stubble and ingrown hairs
I bought this for my legs, arms and underarms and to replace shaving. I have dark, coarse body hair and this epilator is so ineffective.I have used this product on dry skin, wet skin, with shaving cream/conditioner, with baby powder, pulling skin taut, slowly and at very angle possible but I did not receive the results expected. After using it, my leg hair feels like two days post shaving. Additionally, using this has cause ingrown hairs on my legs which I have never experienced with a razor. The pain is manageable once you get used to using the product and I like that you can use it on dry legs. The only reason I gave three stars was because the electric razor and bikini shaver are great.TL;DRPROS-Can use on dry skin-Limited pain (once acclimated)-The electric razor-The bikini shaverCONS-Leaves stubble (doesn't remove hair completely from follicle)--Causes ingrown hairs-Does not last longer than shaving-Takes longer than shaving-More painful compared to shaving

Wish I’d gotten this 15 years ago
Before getting this I was a frequent waxer so my hair is quite fine and sparse.Legs - used the roller head, speed 2, completely painless, quick and easy. I won’t ever wax my legs again. It leaves a few hairs but they are so fine, waxing would have just broken them off too. The efficiency head works nicely as well.Underarms - the smaller heads I find just hurt more and take longer. Both roller and efficiency heads work fine. Speed 2 hurts less and gets more hairs. Does a great job. Won’t go back to waxing.Brazilian - yes I did it. Don’t do this unless you’ve had at least 20 waxes. This is not for the faint of heart, it was very intimidating and there was a pretty steep learning curve. At first it hurt more than waxing I’d say. I recommend getting to know your Epil a bit first before driving in. Now that I know what the hell I'm doing it’s easier and less painful. Don’t use the smaller heads, use the efficiency head and speed 2. This thing will get hairs out by the ROOT. I swear many of those hairs are not coming back. Don’t know if I’ll stick with this or not. Definitely great for a cleanup of the bikini line for bathing suit season.Face - I’ve never had to wax anything on my face, just tried it on baby hairs just to see what would happen. OUCH, wtf. Won’t do that again.

Where have you been all my hairy adult life?
This epilator is amazing. I've had it for a few months now and no longer need razors. It removes even the tiniest hairs that could not be removed from waxing (about 2mm). I even use the epilator on my face and it does a great job (better than plucking and much faster too) although I have gotten pimples because of it. Now I've learned to let the epilator run in rubbing alcohol for a few seconds before using it on my face and apply an acne treatment after epilating - problem solved. Good thing it's waterproof. I have gotten a few ingrown hairs after using the epilator and that is my only con about the product. My skin feels smoother than ever and hair no longer grows back all at once so it is very easy to maintain. Removing hairs is quick. It does take a bit longer than using a razor but it's worth it. Less messy than waxing. The trimmer does a great job too, it is a bit better than my husbands trimmer but shhhh don't tell him I've used his. In terms of pain, I'm not going to sugar coat things - it feels like plucking at super fast speeds because that's essentially what's going on. But, less hairs =less pain. So the more you use it and if you regularly maintain, it gets easier and less painful. Also, the shorter the hairs the better. Lastly, just a tip: tie your hair (on your head if it's long) when you're using the epilator. A loose strand may get caught and it seems like it would hurt quite a bit (judging by how the product works). No, it has not happened to me.I highly recommend this product and wish I could go back in time to tell my more harier self about it because it would have saved me years of frustration, nicks and cuts, razor burn, razor bumps, wax stickyness, time, and money.

First time epilating
I had been researching epilators for a while before I decided to take the plunge. I picked this one because of the great reviews I found for it, and because it had all of the accessories I wanted. The bikini trimmer was also a nice bonus as I had already been looking for one. Before I epilated I took a hot shower and exfoliated well. I used the massaging cap on my legs and while it was still painful it wasn't unbearable. I found taking deep breaths to be helpful. I was able to fully epilate my legs in about 30 mins. Most of the reviews I've read said that the upper thigh area is more painful than lower legs but I didn't find that to be the case. The only really painful spot was my knee caps and I still haven't completely finished them due to that. Otherwise it was OK and will get less painful with time so I'm looking forward to that. The following day I got the guts to try it on my underarms. This is where I was so glad that I bought a wet/dry epilator to use in the shower to help with the pain. I used the sensitive area cap and some shaving cream to help the epilator glide more easily over the wet skin. I was very surprised at how easy and quick it was, I found my armpits to be even less painful than my legs. However, I did sugar wax my armpits about a week before this so there wasn't a full amount of hair, I think this helped with making the process less painful, as well as the fact that I was doing it in the shower. It's been almost a week now and I only have a small amount of tiny stubble on my legs and underarms. But nothing compared to what it would be if I had shaved. I plan on using this one a week for the first little while and hopefully eventually will only need to use every 2-3 weeks.I'm very happy with this purchase. This is definitely one of those things that will change my daily routine for the better.I would say this is one of, if not the best epilators available at the moment.-The wet/dry option is wonderful for pain management and convenience.-The smart light is a huge help and I can't imagine not having it.-The shaver head/trimmer attachment is great for anywhere you don't want to epilate.-Sensitive area cap is helpful for more precision in smaller areas like the underarm and bikini area (although I've yet to try it on bikini)-The facial cap is the only feature I haven't tried only because I don't really need to but I was glad it was included so I have the option.-Efficiency cap will come in handy once I get past the first few sessions as it gives a closer/faster epilating experience.I can honestly say I wish I would have discovered this sooner. Its worth the money and minuscule amount of pain to have smoother skin for longer.Update: I just epilated for the second time, one week after the first. The pain has decreased dramatically! Barely felt a thing.

Time consuming but good quality.
I used a cheap epilator before and it was extremely painful however this one is way better. I’ve been using this for almost a year now. Here’s some main points that I think might be helpful.- I wouldn’t use it in the bath (it tends to do a patchy job)-the rolling attachment helps dimish the pain for legs-works amazing for arm pits (arm pits are actually the least painful for me)-I can’t get smooth legs for 4 week only 1-2 week (maybe it’s because my hair growth is off or possible the machine is breaking my hairs)-if you are new to epilators or never waxed, I’d recommend getting a wax done first then waiting for hair to grow back (I did not, I wish I did to desensitize my legs)- After a year, I am still unable to epilate my arms (prehaps my arms mine are more sensitive than normal)- I have very sensitive skin, after epilating my legs, it becomes very sore and red and slightly swollen. This usually disappears after a good nights sleep.-time consuming (depending on pain tolerance really) I spend roughly 40-60 minutes for both full legs, 5 minutes for arm pits, 20 minute for bikini line-bikini line is bareable pain, do not attempt Brazilian unless extremely high pain tolerance or if you’re use to waxing. I almost passed out when I tried. I have a medium to high pain tolerance.-the trimmers are just extra. I don’t really see a very goood use for them.-I mostly use the first speed. It tends to hurt a bit more but you get slower and better results to prevent breakage of hair.

J'aurais dû l'acheter plus vite !!!
Wow!
