Sophisticated Hydrating Essence
This is a hydrating essence (to be applied after toner and before serum, or in place of both when layered) with a beautiful texture and good results. It has fermented grape water which boosts the fruit's antioxidant properties, as well as adenosine and hyaluronic acid for smoothing and hydration. It has a lightweight watery texture with a nice amount of slip and some viscosity. It sinks in quickly and isn't sticky or heavy, but isn't so thin that it's runny and difficult to apply. The name of this is a "lifting essence", and I'm happy to say that this actually stands up to its claims! On a few different occasions I applied the Papa Recipe to half of my face and different toners on the other half, and in every occasion the side of my face where I applied the Papa Recipe looked more lifted and smoothed, bringing out the contours of my face (but my skin still felt very hydrated and comfortable). This is an innovated and well-formulated product, and I think a lot of people with different skin types would enjoy it. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that if I use it for a couple consecutive days, I start to get some small closed comodones. No irritation, just some clogged pores. Since skincare is so subjective (and my skin in general is very finnicky and breakout-prone) I can't hold it against the essence, and I still think it would work great for other people, just keep in mind that if you're extremely breakout-prone then the fermented ingredients in this might not be the best fit.

A tad pricey, but a little goes a long way! Interesting texture.
What a strange & oddly interesting name. I guess they wanted to make it something that you would not forget, lol. Noble Rot! The ‘lifting’ part was what got me to order this product. The price is a tad high for a toner, but it’s a rather ‘robust’ in size toner, where a little bit does go a long way.It doesn’t bother my sensitive skin AT ALL, and it does moisturize, however, the feel (texture) of this product is not as watery as is the texture of most toners I have used. It’s got a bit more bulk to it. It makes it unique, one could say. It must be what provides the moisturizing properties in this particular toner, rather then just stripping away dirt and oil, leaving skin dry.Pretty bottle, I will say! Not sure if I would purchase this again, as I’m pretty frugal and I didn’t notice any lifting from this product.. sadly. I will say that the quality is there, and is best for dry & combo skin types. I’m insanely oily. For the right skin type, I’m sure it’s a worthy buy!3.75 stars overall, rounded up to 4.⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3/4**I hope my review has been helpful 😊.**
