Elliptical- failure to track: this watch did not track my workout on the elliptical. Is there any way to go in the app and adjust/change my steps??

Try putting the watch in "Other" workout mode. I use that when I'm outside cutting grass. Since the watch is tracking your heartrate, maybe it will track this way.

Will this watch work without a phone? Looking to tell time, set alarms and track running distance.

No you have to have your phone near by in order to get notifications.

Is there a pause button when swimming laps and I take a break?Is there a battery life icon?
