Zilla Rock Lair, Naturalistic Hide, Supports Shedding and Egg-Laying, Retains Humidity, Ideal for Snakes and Lizard, Medium

I got the medium size for my African fat tailed gecko. She’s fairly small but it’s a perfect fit and she can fully turn around in it without trouble. She had a really hard time shedding her skin on her feet so I wanted to try out this product. The safest material for fat tailed geckos is wet paper towels, so that is the humidity substrate I use and it works really well. The towels stay wet and ever since the first time she shed after purchasing this, she’s had zero trouble with her sheds! I am very happy that the rock itself (both lid and bottom) are very sturdy, they do not connect magnetically like I’ve seen similar products do but all the same are very Secure and there’s no way she could take the lid off or knock it off in any way. She is a big climber too so she is also very happy to climb on top of this rock and it’s short enough where I don’t have to worry about her falling and hurting herself! It has a rough texture outside to help if she needs to rub on something to shed. And the inside is perfectly smooth didn’t have to sand it down at all! It’s super easy to clean as well! Over all I really love this product and so does my girl!

If you have a snake you NEED this. The only downside is you may never see your beloved BP again. Mine loved it instantly! I washed it well (it smelled horrible upon opening), dried it, and filled it with her cypress bedding. It's sealed so when shed time comes I'll just add damp moss and turn it into an awesome humid hide. There are drain holes in the bottom for any "liquids" to escape. No fear of it tipping over as the base is flat and it's very heavy. Overall, it's the best purchase I've made for her husbandry. She's almost 3' and weighs 850g. I originally bought a Medium but it arrived broken and would have been a bit too small for her anyway, so returned it and went with a Large and she still has plenty of room to grow with it. My 4-1/2' 2500g girl will definitely not fit in it.

These hides are the best, but they really need to figure out something for shipping on these. After returns and getting new ones I still had chips and pieces broken/floating around in the packaging. The last one I got was chipped in ways that didn’t affect its functionality at all so I rolled with it. That said - I do own about 6 of these and they are amazing hides. Variety of sizes from Hognose all the way up to Ball Python. They blend in fantastically with a Bioactive setup - in fact they are he only thing not natural in all my bioactive aside from the water dish. They retain heat under a heat lamp well. They make it so that you can easily lift the top off to access you reptile if needed. These really are the ones I recommend to almost everyone getting into reptiles.

My babies LOVE this hide! I’m going to have to get another one since they are growing so fast, but it’s so easy to check up on them when they are tiny! Material is made of great quality and lid stays on just so snug.

My son's leopard gecko loves this. With some damp paper towel at the bottom, it makes a perfect humid hide where they can shed their skin. The rock design does have some little pieces that can be tricky when you lift the top. Other than that, it's perfect.

Got it for my leopard gecko and he loves it. Works really well for humidity and with moss it helps him shed. Definitely would buy this for all my reptiles

My 5-year-old male ball python LOVES this. Filled with slightly moistened sphagnum moss, it works wonders for his shedding and looks soooo pretty in the terrarium. We have the large exo terra tank and there is plenty of room for this on the warm side, a different hide on the cool side, a large water dish, and other items for texture, interest, etc. It has a nice weight too, and the lid fits on very well. No worries about it being bumped and falling on the little guy's head.

When it first came it seemed a little small, but my regular sized Leopard Gecko loves it! I also thought he was going to be upset with me for changing his hide but he took to it immediately. I use spagnum moss inside and it keeps moisture well enough, with a hole in the bottom to drain excess. It is easy to clean and looks amazing in his tank!
