The gasket was missing and the brass body started breaking down as soon as I tried to unscrew the nut. Though, Amazon refunded the money without having to return the product but I had to go through all the hassle to go to a local shop to buy this product. Overall its all waste of money and time.

The product arrived with a set of basic installation instructions. The key is ensure that ALL remnants of residual sealants in the waste opening are thoroughly removed. I used a small amount of boss white for the waste opening but not for the large nut and tapered rubber washer underneath the sink.It took more time preparing the waste hole than fitting the new waste, which took only a few minutes. Tightened everything up and tested with running water and then with the waste closed and the basin full of water. No leaks at all, very pleased.Remember this pop up waste is for a basin with NO overflow, if you have an overflow then you need a slotted waste fitting instead.

The quality and price of this product is quite good! Unfortunately it came with brushed stainless steel top instead of the desired chrome finishing.
