Works well and has a variety of settings. I just wish it had some motion to it like clouds moving in and out in front of the moon.

This is a nice little product to set an ambient mood of quiet, serenity and calm. It can be adjusted to turn off the moon and/or star feature. The brightness can also be adjusted. The remote is a nice touch to control it all without leaving your easy chair.I can see this working out well for a little party, a teen’s room or just relaxing of an evening. It’s hard to go wrong with the adaptability of this piece.The star feature creates a mass of green colored little dots that are static on the ceiling. Having seen something like this before, it appears to me that the green is a laser with the beam split. I may be wrong but it’s sure bright. Bright enough that I don’t want to put it somewhere that I’ll be accidentally caught in the beam.The moon is something you either love or hate. I think it looks a little cheesy and sometimes turn it off.You do need a place to put this to get the best access to the ceiling. On top of a shelf, higher cabinet or a table in the corner that no one will be using works well. If on a table in the corner, the light will be centered more in that area than the center of the room, though.
