Perfect OEM replacement
Item fit perfectly to replace an original equipment 2" threaded pool check valve. The clear sight glass allows easy verification that the valve is functioning properly.

It did not have any factory package but was repacked in a nice double bubble envelop
I bought a "new" with some damage to packaging as described. It did not have any factory package but was repacked in a nice double bubble envelop. The check valve was brand new, unused, and in perfect condition. I installed the valve and worked great. I will definitely consider damaged packing products in the future. This one saved me $10. :-)

Verify length of Union.

Good solid, easy to install
I didn't install this as new but just replace the existing one and reuse the union. The only complaint is the thread, which is different from other unions.

Flap doesn't stay closd and the spa still leaks.
I replaced my pool's spring loaded check valve with this swing valve. My spa still would drain a couple of inches but this morning when I checked the level it was way below the tile line. I could see that the valve was moving and letting water get past it. Unfortunately, I will be returning this and getting a more durable spring loaded valve. I had installed it correctly horizontally and the flap facing down.
