The Black Page Notebook: College Ruled Notebook/Journal

This is a great idea, however, somehow the creator didn't bother to test papers, and more importantly, *PRINTED* paper. I'm not sure what kind of ink was used to make the pages black, but unfortunately that, together with the paper type interfere with gel pens.The paper seems to suck the gel ink in, below the black press ink used to make the pages black. Therefore you're left with the solid parts of the gel ink, and thus a small percentage of ink brilliance, and even pigment.Unfortunately this product batch is toast. Unless the producer comes up with a recommendation as to exactly which gel pens work with this paper to at last a satisfactory level, I don't see this product making it on the market.The gel pens I used are B01CL1TX1C (search product ID in Amazon).

First and foremost, it is not a notebook because the pages are not removable. It is a journal. Second, the black is PRINTED on white paper, the PAPER is not black. Third, the printing and cutting process are right in line with the value of the product - the cutting was slightly off, revealing a very thin angled white bit on the edge, and there were white handprints on the back of about four of the pages. Just an overall sloppy printing job. My expectations were clearly too high for what the price had to offer. Next time I'll buy something a little pricier and get the quality I'm looking for.

Worked perfectly with my white gel pens. Unlike the other reviews, my pad of paper was solid black and of good quality. I will buy again and recommend to others looking for black paper.

I was very very disappointed with this product when I wrote on it with my gel pens and it did not show up nice at all. The black ink of the paper just absorbed the ink of the gel penHOWEVER I am giving this a 2 star bc I did end up buying the gel pen brand that was mentioned somewhere in the comments and they did show up alot better. Wish this notebook was binded with spirals.But overall I was able to use the notebook with Gelly Pens- Moonlight

I love this book. I only wish there were better sitting white ink pens.I have a retinal detachment in one eye (mostly stable) and "huge" floaters in the other. So, looking at a computer screen all day is a lot of flooding light into my eyes. I blackout everything I can, and it helps IMMENSELY.Finding this paper was a pleasant surprise. I have yet to test out the various types of white pencils out there, but I am sure I'll find the right combination.

This notebook is indeed all black pages, it is good to write on if you accidentally buy 100 different bright and shiny colored pens and markers like I did. Also it gets you attention at school because people have never seen someone use anything like it before for notes.

The product itself was great, the paper is a decent quality and the white lines are awesome. I would have prefered it be hard cover or spiral bound to help with note taking during lectures. My biggest issue was that the product was mishandled TWICE. The first one Amazon sent me was cut with a box cutter and when they sent me a replacement the delivery person rolled it and shoved it in a mailbox. Now it won't flatten. Disappointed that I now have 2 damaged notebooks. The product is so inexpensive it isn't worth returning twice, but you would think the staff at amazon would know better.

Not true black pages, but white pages printed in all black... Most have faded grey areas, I should have read the reviews.
