Cantu Refresh Root Relief with Apple Cider Vinegar and Peppermint Oil, 8 Ounce

This stuff is Refreshing and delivers immediate discomfort relief. I use it on my scalp after braids and even as the braids get old because it smells so good, doesnt leave residue or buildup and keeps my scalp clear. Love it! 10/10 recommend

I've only been using this for a little over a week, but I really like it. I try to only wash my hair twice a week so as to not dry out my hair but my scalp gets itchy between washings, so I purchased this to help soothe my scalp. It works really well!I have fine, wavy 2C hair and was worried that this would make my roots look greasy, but it actually just makes my scalp feel good after using it. It has a nozzle-like tip at the end, but I've found that it works better for me if I put a bit on my fingertips and then massage it into my scalp. The peppermint smell doesn't linger, and it also has no apple cider vinegar scent to it.I really like it for use between wash days!

Just awesome for refreshing the scalp in between washes. I am a black female. I regularly moisturize my dry scalp with conditioners and pomades. This Cantu root relief magically removes product build-up from my scalp in between washes. No more itching or flaking. The peppermint seems to tighten follicles and the ACV cleans the scalp. I have experienced NO scalp irritation or hair damage. My hair feels moist and soft, and my scalp refreshed! I've been using this product as needed for nearly 2 years. I will continue to use this product.

This is very effective for braids. You can easily apply to scalp, and it is worth the buy non-greasiness a very good hair serum for braids that are tight that may also be itching the scalp.

Nice feel and fresh smell

This stuff smells great, and works best on dry hair. I mistakenly used it after a shower, applied after towel drying my hair and it made my hair dry like hay/straw. So another time I used when my hair was completely dry and it left those spots darker and matted down like I had used a heavy hair gel. The itch relief is pretty much immediate and temporary. I don't know what else to say about this. I don't really like it, but maybe if you wear wigs this could work.

Listen..... people get protective styles and think they don’t have to take care of their hair or scalp anymore. No honey. But this stuff makes it easy. I have this, the dry shampoo and the root rinse and I use all 3. I work out 4x a week so I use the dry shampoo after every workout because I sweat a lot. I do the root rinse once a week - wash day, and then I I do the root reliefs again. Honestly it makes my scalp feel amazing. There’s a tingling clean feeling. The root relief doesn’t smell like ACV, it smells more like peppermint oil. Honestly I love this stuff. I will be using it for all of my protective styles in the future.

Great product to relieve an itchy scalp if you have braids of any kind. A little goes a long way you get plenty of product for the price that should last for a while. Depending on how dry your scalp is, you may need to apply twice a week or more. It also works well incorporated into your hair regimen. The scent is fresh and smells like Apple cider vinegar.
