Excellent layer of protection!
This is an excellent addition to the abus frame lock that is equipped with my e-bike. The combination works well with both devices and the extension chain gives a visual appearance of the bike being secured since some thieves may not be aware of the frame lock on the the bike.The ease of use is another great feature. Lock the frame lock and then just plug the chain into the frame lock opening and it is now secured. If you own a airbus frame lock this chain is a must have accessory as another layer of protection.

Solid locking device for ebike
Easy to place on the ebike and appears to be very secure from being easily cut apart with bolt cutters.

Only works with another abus lock which it attaches to
This is a very significant chain. It should keep your bike safe with all the usual caveats. It is heavy and if weight is a concern this may not be the product for you. It only attaches to the abus locks what are mounted on the rear wheel. Do your homework and make sure that you have the proper lock that this fits in to.

[pic will follow] My order is a replacement for one lost, and contrary to one review came with same Chrome tip, same compatiblity w my frame-mounted ABUS Shield 5560 wheel lock (accessory adds on rad e-bikes) it weighs 900 g, vs. 700 described, same length, but now less wt & bulk than the original I lost, ...typical response in products, foods, toiletries now to keep prices the same.To include the front wheel you need to snuggle close to a thin dia.post or rack to thread the bike frame then reach the back wheel lock.Just one key!

My old one was stolen (when not in use). No complaints.

I was a little surprised I could lock it to the cafe lock without the key
I didn't realize I didn't have my key with me 2 miles away from home when I needed to lock up my bike I pushed it in and I went to get my key to lock the cafe lock when I realized I didn't have the correct key with me. Unfortunately I couldn't just pull this chain back out again. It was locked. Thankfully my son was with me and rode bike back to the house to go get the correct key. Wish I would have known

Great Lock!
In my community (Denver) this is a great lock for running around town. It works great with my Riese-Mueller E-Bike (I could write a great review on the bike!). I would not use it for overnight locking.
