Not the quality I expected. You must turn it upside down for the rain action (as most globes) which lasts for less than 5 seconds then you must repeat again, over and over. More of a typical tourist, sticker, or magnet gift quality.

Mom loves it!
Mom was born in Ketchikan but had to move to the lower 48 when she was very young. I was able to take her back to Ketchikan for the first time in 2003 and she is very passionate about her birthplace. This was just a small item added to her Christmas gifts but she loves it! It's a small reminder of one of her favorite places on the planet that sits on her nightstand. Thank you!!!

I just received the package when I opened it, it was broken

More like a shower than rain drops
The one I received was probably defective. It was more like a shower than rain drops. I purchased the Seattle version a few year ago, and it had rain drops effect. This one was like the water came out of a shower head. Maybe they should double check their quality control.
