What is the purpose of the bottom groove?

I use it to easily pour the bucket out. I hold the handle in one hand, then put my other hand in the groove (on the bottom of the bucket) to tilt the bucket so the water will pour out. I love this bucket-it’s great!

Can you put bleach in the bucket?

I don’t see why you couldn’t. It is made of a combo of hard & soft plastic materials. Like others buckets of plastic materials, but collapsible.

As is stated in description, it is plastic. A more firm harder with softer plastic.. which allows it to collapse
